We werent allowed to play red/black or even/odd on our cruise in March with the promotional chips.

That's X - never the same rules, even on the same ship ;)

Spoilsports. I HATE Celebrity's inconsistencies.

That was on the Equinox.

I read reports on this topic but different thread when guests could play red/black, even/odd etc.

We have been told that we can only play numbers with the promo chips. But even this information was inconsistent as one cashier didn't know, the other did and the croupier had to re-check with his supervisor.

You get OBC and it says it can't be redeemed in cash. That's all about OBC. There is no word that you can only play numbers. Next time you can only buy beer with obc but not wine etc.

It's not only inconsistencies but also that you don't know the rules at the time of booking or when they are changed.

I can understand the blocking of red/black & odd/even pairs. I've heard of casinos doing this, usually to prevent money laundering - although I think this technique is less common now with the ability to pile your money into a fruit machine and get a voucher by cashing out (Some establishments I know monitor this)

I can't see why they would turn down a bet on red or black / odd or even - this is a completely legitimate bet - one which the odds are they will win!

I placed a red/black on Connie on my March cruise with OBC chips. Took the winnings, along with the winning bet OBC chips (which were NOT replaced) to the blackjack table. Went on a run, kept putting aside my winnings and kept betting with my OBC chips. Turned a very nice profit. It was fun.
