OceanDreaming2 Posted November 17, 2016 #76 Share Posted November 17, 2016 So we are on the Sky in a weeks time, if we're not going to Freeport, are we then not going to Nassau? (hopes not) On last week's 4 day cruise, we left Monday, stopped in Key West Tuesday, had a sea day Wednesday, Nassau Thursday and back to Miami Friday. April42749 Posted November 17, 2016 #80 Share Posted November 17, 2016 I wasn't keeping up with this, and I'm sad about the lagoon transformation. It was always our "secret" place. I used to tell DH they should sell this as an "excursion". It was so peaceful, tranquil and away from the crowds. Do you think they read my mind? Cflcruise Posted November 18, 2016 #81 Share Posted November 18, 2016 Where has the Sky been going instead of GSC on the three day? We are leaving on Dec 2 and the itinerary still shows GSC. Do they tell us once we are on board and can't leave?
Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted November 19, 2016 #82 Share Posted November 19, 2016 (edited) I'm scheduled to spend Christmas Eve at GSC. I can still purchase excursions. Someone is bound to post if the official new opening date has been postponed yet again. In the meantime, I'm just keeping an eye on excision availability and crossing my fingers. It's rare for things to open on-time in the islands so I don't expect much and will be pleasantly surprised. stoneman56 Posted November 20, 2016 #83 Share Posted November 20, 2016 Well today is the official opening day. Would be good if someone on board right now would post if they have been told their itinerary has been changed. We sale next Monday and mine still says we stop at GSC. Also NCL are still actively advertising sailings on the 28th as going to GSC, which is reprehensible if they know there is no way it will be ready. MotherofTrips Posted November 21, 2016 #91 Share Posted November 21, 2016 I spoke to an NCL agent a few days ago about Great Stirrup Cay. She told me that they no longer have to tender with the new renovations as they now have a dock. Is this true? MotherofTrips Posted November 21, 2016 #95 Share Posted November 21, 2016 I hope this is true Disappointing news. Just asked that question again to another agent and she said it was not true. Ours went fairly smooth. We waited in traffic for the drop off lane for about 30 minutes but then went well. We are in the Haven though so we checked in...had just sat down and then Haven was escorted on at about 11:45 I think. I think there were some delays for other check in groups.
