TeaBag Posted November 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2016 We usually leave some extra although it is not required.

wrk2cruise Posted November 5, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) The details say that the gratuity is included in the "cover charge". We do generally leave extra due the excellent service provided. Edited November 5, 2016 by wrk2cruise
irishayes Posted November 5, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 5, 2016 Enjoy! We loved both of these restaurants when we were on the Equinox. Omg, dont miss the Lobster Murano! Sent from my SM-N915V using Tapatalk
Braveheart11 Posted November 7, 2016 #6 Share Posted November 7, 2016 You will feel compelled to leave extra for your waitstaff at Murano's. It is extraordinary. Enjoy.
Rare ghstudio Posted November 7, 2016 #7 Share Posted November 7, 2016 Tips are included in the charge for the restaurant. Everyone has their own view of leaving extra tips....and the OP should not be swayed by what someone else does or doesn't do. There is no problem at all in just leaving after the mail without an additional tip. Most can tell if the service was exceptional or not....exceptional service is pretty noticeable. We usually don't tip extra..but on our last cruise, we ate with two other couples in the wine cellar area of Murano and we had a dedicated head waiter who was just superb...he seemed to always there, the wine was topped off, the bread was refilled...it really was a thing of beauty. The entire table agreed on a significant extra tip. As I said, it was obvious that he deserved it. For us, that's the exception.

As stated, you do not have to tip extra, I know it is hard not to think that you should leave some extra.
wallie5446 Posted November 7, 2016 #9 Share Posted November 7, 2016 In 2014 we had a group of 12 dine together at Silk Harvest. It was so good that there were 22 of us in the group last Nov! Silk is a very pleasant surprise. Not sure what to have, just close the menu and let the staff take care of it.
Rare ghstudio Posted November 7, 2016 #10 Share Posted November 7, 2016 Clearly, there are two schools of thought on silk harvest. While many seem to like it, Silk Harvest is the only specialty restaurant on Celebrity that we won't go back to. The food is very americanized...yes, served nicely....but just not good asian food. The last time we were there, we ordered some sushi rolls as an appetizer and were served rolls in soggy nori.....clearly had been made hours before....and the rice was soft and mushy. We did something we just never do....we got up and left. Celebrity did not charge us for the meal...and they offered to give us the next night gratis which I guess was a nice offer, but we passed. If you want well prepared, good asian food, get it at home. For the record, we really do enjoy Murano.
Husky61 Posted November 7, 2016 #11 Share Posted November 7, 2016 If you want well prepared, good asian food, get it at home. /quote] A good example of how subjective food is. We really enjoy Sushi on 5.:)
