debrouillarde Posted November 9, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2016 The POA does not list any wine packages online for our upcoming cruise. Once on board will we be offered a choice of wine packages or is this not available on this cruise. I know we can bring wine aboard and pay the corkage fee but I'd like to know if there will be packages available also. Thank you, Deborah
TrueBlueAngel Posted November 9, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2016 Following this as I'm on a P & O cruise in October 2018. Thought I was told they don't do drinks packages at all. Sent from my iPad using Forums
punkincc Posted November 9, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 9, 2016 Look for flyers in the Freestyle Daily newspapers the first and second day aboard. There were a couple of wine package offers on both of our POA cruises.
dexddd Posted November 9, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2016 When we sailed in March they had it listed in the Day 1 Daily in the lower right corner. Basically 3 packages with "...savings up to 25%..."

pe4all Posted November 9, 2016 #6 Share Posted November 9, 2016 They supposedly offer a "Viva Vino" wine package. This is what I found: Here's the Viva Vino package list. Some changes may have occurred including prices but it's fairly close, someone else may have a more up-to-date list. VIVA VINO by Norwegian Cruise Line 4 Bottles - $88 6 Bottles - $132 8 Bottles - $176 ___ Beringer, Sparkling White Zinfandel – California ___ Lindemans, Bin 90 Moscato – Australia ___ Ruffino, Pinot Grigio – Delle Venezie, Italy ___ De Aureo Spirito, Sauvignon Blanc – Langeudoc, France ___ Woodbridge by Robert Mandavi, White Zinfandel – California ___ Alice White, Chardonnay – Southeastern Australia ___ Colores Del Sol, Malbec – Mandoza, Argentina ___ Ravenswood, “Zen of Zin” Zinfandel – California ___ Errazuriz, “Estate” Merlot – Colchagua Valley, Chile ___ Black Opal, Shiraz/Cabernet – Southern Australia The Aficionado Including selections from the “Enthusiast” category plus the following 4 Bottles - $98 6 Bottles - $146 8 Bottles - $196 ___ Rosemont, Riesling – Southeastern Australia ___ Estancia, Pinot Grigio – California ___ Matua Valley, Sauvignon Blanc – Marlborough, New Zealand ___ Robert Mandavi Private Selection, Chardonnay – California ___ Estancia, Pinot Noir – Monterey, California ___ Rancho Zabaco, “Heritage Vines” Zinfandel – Sonoma, California ___ Sylvester Winery, “Kiara Reserve” Merlot - California ___ Avalon Cabernet Sauvignon – Napa Valley, California The Connoisseur Including selections from the “Enthusiast” and “Aficionado categories plus the following 4 Bottles - $110 6 Bottles - $162 8 Bottles - $216 ___ Dry Creek, Fume Blanc – Sonoma, California ___ Isabel Mandavi, Deep Rose’ – Napa Valley, California ___ Wild Horse, Chardonnay – Central Coast, California ___ Spellbound, Petite Sirah – California ___ Chateau St. Jean, Cabernet Sauvignon – California A 18% gratuity will be added to your check for all beverages orders. Prices are subject to change. Your check may reflect applicable VAT for certain ports or itineraries We drink white zinfandel. Upon researching it, it would be cheaper for us to buy a wine package (4 bottles for $88) on board the POA rather than buying the zin at an ABC store in Hawaii and then paying the corkage fee on top of it. Since we have $100 obc for booking, seems like a good way to spend it!

debrouillarde Posted November 10, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted November 10, 2016 Just be aware that the list is not fixed. It has changed over time and from ship to ship. Keith, thank you, I am prepared for that. There are some wines on the list that to me are a better value for the price than others. I shall just be hopeful to find comparable wines on whatever wine list does appear on our upcoming POA cruise. Thanks for the helpful information in answer to my question.
