Trouble with RCI website...again...but not surprising.

Recommended Posts

Anyone else having trouble the last few days trying to get into RCI website reservations pages?

I am trying to check available cruises, and can't get into the last pages, sometimes not even up to that.

I've been having the same problem Pat. It gets caught up in a loop when I get to the last page. Sometimes clearing the cookies on your computer helps.

Bob says that it happens to me because I have exceeded my price checking usage limit:eek:

Yeah, I went in and cleared my cookies yesterday...but it did not help.

Agree with Bob...I am guilty also. ;)

Sometimes using a different browser seems to help- then I give up and use a third party site, not problems with them

Mostly I am trying to check what cabins are available for possible self

upgrades on my current bookings, but can't get in. Have also resorted

to third party websites and then able to get in...but what a PITA.

Hey RCI!!! Do you WANT us to go to a third party to book??!! ;)

I think they have got some cookie/tracking dependencies programmed into the site. I've found that when I use a super "private" browser, the site shows "on vacation".

Yeah, I have gotten that one in the past also. Right now the latest message, if I

get one at all, seems to be "this page is currently unavailable...come back later".

Most of the time the page just goes blank.

Was not sure if it was just me, or the RCI tech demons having more fun. :(

Hmmm...OK...so not just me. Thanks! Using Google Chrome also.

I was having issues earlier this week too and when I got the vacation message, if I reloaded the page, it would load. It slowed me down while I was searching for some information, but at least I could eventually get the page to load.

It is DEFINTELY better to use a third party site to check for cabin availability. I love the ones with the blinking lights next to the available cabins.

Also the RCL UK site shows up to 50 available cabins.

Yeah, that one is so simple and nice! Love the blinking lights that highlight

all of the cabins. Too bad RCI can't make it that simple. Every "improvement"

seems to make their website booking that much more difficult. :(

Used Explorer browser and was able to check cabins on RCI website through

that route. Just a whole lot slower. :(
