Short term promotion only on the Breakaway and Gem.

  2. Internet Package
  3. 10 Photo Package
  4. 50 Casino Credit

 

This is great for me because I am leaving my very young children with family. This is in addition to free at sea promo. I haven't seen this one before

This "Select" promotion is relatively new & offered briefly once before, not too long again, on a very limited basis - very much doubtful anyone on CC sailed on this already, don't recall seeing/reading feedback on this.

 

I am a little surprised that it's being offered for both ships based/out of NYC this winter ... booking must be "somewhat" way below full capacity, seeing last minute drop in rates plus this. (Gem sailing this weekend out of Old San Juan, PR to NYC was said, per someone on the Roll Call & tracking it, to have 100+ unsold cabins earlier this month)

 

The unlimited calling is probably tied to using the iConcierge App & part of the internet package ... good for the BA and not too sure on the GEM (limited reports on how fast & reliable it is since the fleet-wide broadband upgrade). 10 photos package would typically cost $125 to $150 if purchased onboard and the casino credit is what it is (play with your head ...) There's no 18% service charges or "fees" for these ... if you can combine it with other promotions; and, can sail on one of the qualifying dates under the offer - it's one of the better deals being offered.

 

Just check the cruise fare history for the ship & sailing, as we all know - "nothing is really free" at sea. Now, I wonder if this is valid for those booking on CAS rates to sail :D as that would be a bonus "steal" on top of the discounting (it's okay not to say anything ... hush ;) )

 

Under vacation & leave policies of some employers ... not all can take accrued (unused) time off at the end of the calendar year or the beginning of the new calendar year ... i.e. those in accounting & finance. Retirees and those self-employed that can go in a heartbeat would easily jump on this.

 

Hey, if it's good for you .... book it, you will have 24 hours for sure to cancel for free, regardless - to think it over.

My husband got an email promo a little over a month ago for this but it wasn't limited to ny sailings. I booked a June western med via CAS 20% discount, got free at sea free grats/sdp, latitudes insider extra pt/$100 obc, this xtra selects offer (10 photo, $50 casino, 100 min wifi, unlimited ship to shore calling) and used 2 cruise next deposits. 2 days later cabin price dropped $200 p/p for short time and was able to get that adjustment too!! I finally feel like I scored a great deal. Lol

Tried to get new NCL Select Promotion added to recent -- direct with NCL -- GEM booking ... NCL refused [even for Diamond Latitudes Member].

 

That's funny. I just had it added to my reservation on the Breakaway, and I am only silver. i also accepted the new version of the perks and upgraded by room to an M6. I am so looking forward to the large balcony.

Evidently Diamond Latitudes members are NOT allowed to do this. Very glad to be only platinum.

Reading the fine prints this afternoon, these free & unlimited calls are good only from the stateroom to shore - which, is, actually is excellent & worth a lot more than VoIP or using WiFi/cellular data on the smartphone. As long as satellite is good, voice quality should be great & more reliable - calling rates of $4.99 per minute or higher now given away free ... it can add up to lots of savings for those who must/need/want to stay in touch.

 

This limited-time offer will expire later in the week - 12/15/2016. As for being Diamond Latitude - is that the new rumored, exclusive scheme for 2017 for the inner circles :D :p

When I received my confirmation, it also included all of the following....addl 100 internet minutes, casino money, 10 free photos and free phone calls! I was totally surprised!!!

The bonus offer was just re-introduced again as a time-limited offer on select NYC Winter sailings for 2017 and yours being one of them - Congrats !!

 

So you will have a total of 350 WiFi internet minutes to use at sea, 10 photos package is valued at up to $150, free phone calls from your stateroom is nice (unlimited - check the details to make sure) and play "smart" with the casino dollars. Plus, your dining plan is only for 2 guests for a limited # of days, booking should be open - reserve them now, although some are easier to get into unless the mega *Away class ships.

 

As always, save & print out a copy of the confirmation or at least save the PDF to your tablet/iPad or smartphone to bring it along, just in case - enjoy the GEM ... we are still 100+ days out for our turn, way too long :p

We were on Gem a couple weeks ago with 250 free wi-fi minutes and it was so slow and sketchy we left 188 minutes on the table. It would take multiple attempts just to get to the login page and the logout page would die so you weren't sure if you were logged out so you would have to reload that.

 

Another person on same trip confirmed bad wifi as well. We tried over several days -- hopefully it will be working better for you.

It worked a lot better back in November on the Gem when we used our tablet rather than their computers. In most ports you can get "free" wifi right off the ship by spending a few bucks in a bar or restaurant.

I had upgraded my room to a M6 a couple of weeks ago and got this promotion. Though, apparently it is not available for the following room types, "All Categories Receive All 4: Unlimited Phone Calls, Free Internet Package, 10 Photo Package, $50 Casino Promo Play

Not applicable to categories MX, BX, OX, IX."

 

Someone mentioned earlier that they could not get the package, maybe because the room they booked is under one of the above categories?

 

I'm pretty stoked about getting this deal. Glad I upgraded.
