Annoying Adverts

I've not been on here for a while.

Now I keep getting these annoying flashing adverts when I'm scrolling through the posts.

Is there any way to turn these off as they make my eyes hurt and give me headaches :(

This didn't use to happen before.

taffy62 what browser are you using?, as you might be able to get an add on to blocks that ad.

 

Also try flicking our friendly Host Walt hostwalt at cruisecritic.com and the admin on community at cruisecritic.com (remove at & put in @ and take out the spaces) and see what they say :)

Can you tell me what ads, specifically, you are seeing? Are they for cruises, specific company maybe, and where are you seeing them on the page?

I understand that Cruise Critic provides this forum for free. One way of helping to pay for this is by ads. These can be disabled. I use the Firefox browser and have installed Adblock Plus to prevent these annoying pop up ads.

I was having problems for a while and then I cleared the "cookies"

Clearing the cookies may work but installing an adblock app may be better for the longer term.
