How bad is the smoke on breakaway's le bistro?

We just got back yesterday. Honestly, we sat inside and I didn't smell any smoke at all. That said, I did have 2 reservations (it was a 14 day cruise) and cancelled the second one. This used to be my favorite but since they changed the menu, I don't care for it as much.

This makes me sad.:( I also have it booked twice for our upcoming cruise. Inside, no smoke.

Hooray a smoking thread

If they had made the plexiglass floor to ceiling these threads wouldn't exist

I for one want to see as many threads/complaints/suggestions as possible and I want ncl to read them all

So they can then come to their senses and either:

Build 2 casinos

Wall off the smoking side of the casino and vent all the smoke out of the ship (this is easily done on the current ships) also since smokers don't notice the smoke just forget about venting...just raise the plexiglass...

Or

Make all indoor venues non smoking

This is not a minor issue ncl regardless of how much certain posters/pax like to make it

Btw you lost $5000 of my vacay dollars this summer for 2 reasons

1. Your med itins are not exciting plus your ncl star is too risky to book at this point

2. I cannot take my entire family on your ships due to the casino smoke.

honestly, smoke or no smoke, the "outdoor" seating is the worst at LeBistro. The foot traffic is constant, and heaven forbid there is an event at Headliners - people line up and it gets noisy.

we always request an inside seat. we often get some attitude, but we still ask.

like a PP, the menu is not as good now. no lamb chops, that was the best item. the day they eliminate the escargot is the day i never eat there again. LOL

Yikes! Why do they give you an attitude for wanting an inside table? Sounds pretty reasonable to me and something I would want considering all you mentioned. Oh and we will also skip this place if they stop serving the Escargot....my husband's very favorite. I can live with the rest of this new menu but not losing the Escargot.

the attitude i think stems from the fact that no one wants to sit outside, and it screws up their seating plan for the evening. One time they said to us "the outside tables are part of the restaurant and part of the dining experience". Its also odd to me that the design of the larger ships does not provide waterfront dining to LeBistro. In reality, those outdoor tables are just a completely different experience/ambience. its not quiet and romantic out there. at all. teh hosts know it too, but they're stuck dealing with it.

Dined at Le Bistro on -away class ships 12 times in the past 4 years. Never, ever got the slightest hint of attitude.

As others have said, you do not smell any smoke inside but you most certainly smell it outside.

I have first-hand experience since my dh wore dress shorts on our LeBistro night and they said we could eat

there but outside, which we did. This has never been my top restaurant on NCL. I always feel the service is

just lacking something and the food is good, just not so great. That said, I'll be dining there in two weeks on the Getaway :)
