Name change question A+B to A+C and back to A+B maybe?!

Recommended Posts

Hi,

if a cabin is booked for persons A+B can it be changed to persons A+C?

Will that trigger re-pricing?

Could it later again be changed back to A+B?

Would the 2.nd change trigger a re-pricing?

All this would happen before final payment day....

Thank you for your help!

As long as "A" stays the same, you can change "B" as many times as you want, up to 24 hours before the cruise, with no change in price.

One more question to add some flexibility.......If I book A+B+C ....

Can I change this to A+B removing C?

Would that re-price everything or just drop out the price for 3rd person?

I guess A+B+D is no problem at all....as it would just be a name change....

Thanks again for helping!

If you book a cabin for 3 and then change to 2 pax then they can make you move to a cabin that is meant for 2 which will trigger a reprice at current rates.

Should be no problem dropping C, and under US/Canadian rules, you can drop C up until 14 days before the cruise for a full refund.

Yes I am using a US TA ...

So would they have me move and re-price everything when I drop C or not?

It seems there are so many 3 person cabins.....we use them a lot with 2 people...last time even had a 4 person cabin but only 2 booked....

It depends. If you can book the cabin now with 2 people I would say they probably won't move you, if the cabin requires 3 to book and then you drop one there is a greater chance of them moving you. Some who really want the cabin are prepared to lay more and will just have the 3rd person be a no show and just getting port fees and taxes refunded.
