Hair dryers and curling irons.

Will I have an issue if I take my own hair dryer? The ones provided in the cabin suck? 👿

Some one just posted that curling irons and hot rollers were also taken.

So any one who has sailed recently is this true or just an isolated instance.

Thanks in advance for any recent information.

Below is an excerpt from the prohibited items on the web site, you should be okay with all three but they don't mention the hair dryer.

Candles, incense, coffee makers, clothes irons, travel steamers and hot plates (Items that generate heat or produce an open flame. This includes heating pads, clothing irons, hotplates, candles, incense and any other item that may create a fire hazard. NOTE: The only exception to this policy are curling irons and hair straighteners.

I have taken my own hairdryer and straighteners many times, never a problem.

I've always taken my mini electric roller pack and my small hair curler with no issues.

You can ask the room steward for a bigger hair dryer and they some times have them

A curing iron or straightener can double as a mini iron for pant creases. Dampen or spray with water to quicken process.

Definitely bring your own blow dryer and flat iron. The dryers in the cabins are the pits. They're old, uncomfortable to use and don't blow hard enough. They're fine if you have short or frizzy hair and don't care about how your hair looks. If you like the way the ceramic blow dryers make your hair more silky, you'll want to bring your own. ;)
