I just read your blog and you mention 60% discount on bottles. Is this in the Duty free shops or the dining room wine? I appreciate English isn't your first language and I was a little confused about the statement. Thank you once again. We sailed on the Quantum TA together . Sorry for the confusion. I meant up to 60% on selected wines in dining room. However I have later seen discounts on bottles of wine' date=' sparkling wine as well of spirits in bars. Only for consumption on the ship. I have not noticed discounted duty free so far. Quantum TA was a great cruise. Internet is much better here on Legend than those days on Quantum! http://Http://mogenshallas.com cruise reviews from my iPad using Forums

hallasm Posted March 11, 2017 Author #21 Share Posted March 11, 2017 Deck 9, in the Concierge / Diamond lounges area, had on several walls plaques from ports Legend of the Seas has visited through the 20 years of service. These plaques are now being taken down and packed in boxes to be sent to Miami. All plaques gone by now. Also update from Cochin visit at my cruise travel blog. hallasm Posted March 11, 2017 Author #22 Share Posted March 11, 2017 Today at 09:45 am there was a Consecutive Dubai Cruiser information meeting by Guest Service Manger Jorge Pedrosa . A total of the current 870 guest are continuing the cruise from Dubai to Barcelona. In order to maximize the time for tours in Dubai, Guest services has negotiated immigration and boarding procedures for consecutive cruisers with the Dubai Authorities. Also special Legend of the Seas free shuttle buses has been organized for Dubai Mall. Well thought arrangement which hopefully will reduce the queues when leaving/arriving the to the ship. And some statistics - distances for our cruise in Nautical Miles: - Singapore to Penang - 419 nmi - Penang to Cochin - 1,611 nmi - Cochin to Mumbai - 613 nmi - Mumbay to Dubai - 1,175 nmi - Dubai to Suez Canal - 2,893 nmi - Suez Canal to Piraeus - 703 nmi - Piraeus to Valletta - 525 nmi - Valetta to Barcelona - 674 nmi Also a review from our Mumbai visit at the 'Spice Route and Suez canal' Blog
heatherb1958 Posted March 11, 2017 #23 Share Posted March 11, 2017 Wow, 870 staying on for the next cruise, I think that is the largest number I have ever heard of . We have done many consecutive cruises, feel sorry for the crew on change over day if a lot of guests are moving cabins. Apparently when Splendour went to Thomson they auctioned off the port of call plaques. Seems they are not doing it for Legend.
hallasm Posted March 11, 2017 Author #24 Share Posted March 11, 2017 (edited) Impressive number of consecutive cruisers and a full theatre for the presentation - in fact more that 50% of guest from Dubai are consecutive cruisers . Apparently when Splendour went to Thomson they auctioned off the port of call plaques. Seems they are not doing it for Legend. I only have the information from crew taking down plaques - might very well be that plaques will go on auction.
