Havingfun2010 Posted March 10, 2017 #52 Share Posted March 10, 2017 NO (no, not worth it) I mean, it's a hamburger place, and you can get hamburger other places on the ship, so why pay for it.
derekng5 Posted March 10, 2017 #53 Share Posted March 10, 2017 Question about the "all you can eat" option for a flat fee of $7. Do I have to order all at once, or can I finish my first burger, then order another one if I am still hungry?
ATC cruiser Posted March 10, 2017 #54 Share Posted March 10, 2017 The johnny rockets here at home went out of business, that might tell you something about how good it is. That being said, it's better than the burgers in the WJ. Sent from my iPad using Forums
the mistral wind Posted March 10, 2017 #55 Share Posted March 10, 2017 FIrst time I've ever heard of a non-Oasis class ship having free (or any!) breakfast at JR. When i was on the Freedom i do not think that was the case. I wasn't informed of a free entrance to JR either??? Had i known i would have gone. Homosassa Posted March 10, 2017 #56 Share Posted March 10, 2017 The question is: Having paid all the money for the cruise fare, is it worth it to you to pay extra for a mall fast food hamburger joint? If so, go for it.
flirtyfloridacouple Posted March 10, 2017 #57 Share Posted March 10, 2017 At least from our experience on Freedom, it was not great. Sure it may have been the best burger on the ship, but that didn't make it a great burger. We had a free coupon for that meal and that was the only reason it wasn't truly disappointing. We have another free meal at JR on our upcoming Oasis cruise and if we don't end up using it I won't be sad. I cannot see myself paying for it, I'd much rather head to Five Guys when I get home. Was the JR on Freedom ala carte or flat rate? If flat rate, can you just go in for a shake/malt? My wife and I have little to no desire for the hamburgers, but would love a shake... does that mean we would essentially be paying 12 dollars (7 flat rate plus 5 dollar shake change) per shake?! Also can anyone confirm or deny the free breakfast at JR on Freedom class? Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app
LeesSummitCruiser1 Posted March 10, 2017 #58 Share Posted March 10, 2017 Hi everyone! I've never been on a ship with a Johnny Rockets. Is the food really worth the cover charge? I love burgers and fries, but not sure if I love $7 pp worth of burgers. We're not really specialty dining people, and we were looking forward to trying it, but I don't see how it's that much different from Steak n Shake. Is it that amazing? Thanksn Sent from Tapatalk Its ok, about the same price as you would pay on land for the same food. The real crime is on Radiance class ships they replaced the Sea View Café with Johnny Rockets. The Sea View was the best informal dining spot in the fleet!

None of the Radiance class ships have Johny Rockets.

Three ships have Izumi, one has Samba Grill.
dwayneb236 Posted March 10, 2017 #61 Share Posted March 10, 2017 Well we have Whataburger down here, hard to beat at 2 AM. But a Rodeo Goat chili burger is nice on occasion.
