book on board reduced deposit, suites?

For the Alaskan cruise (6/2017) we booked onboard last October, 2017 we paid $100 pp deposit for an S1. For the Australian cruise (2/2019) we booked onboard two weeks ago we paid $900 pp deposit for a Celebrity suite. Quite a difference!

Yes..... that is the difference... an S1 or S2 only requires $100 but the higher level suites CS and up were the full deposit on the Equinox last fall

I can confirm that we were told exactly the same thing when booking our 2018 cruise onboard our 2/20/17 Equinox sailing.
