Did you get the Carnival Player's Club Survey?

For the first time ever, I received an email from the Carnival Players Club today asking me to fill out their survey. Did you get the survey email?

The survey asked about my 3 most preferred and 3 least preferred comps and offered free text areas twice to express opinions about the Player's Club. And there were questions about demographics and smoking.

In all my years of Carnival cruising, this is the first time I ever received a casino survey.

Got it today and filled it out. Hit them hard on smoking in the casinos.

Send me that survey so we can double down on that!

Actually a year or so ago, I got it and did the same as you. I got an email thanking me for completing the survey, and there were a bunch of cut and paste responses bungled together in a somewhat nonsensical way.

"Jeffrey, did you know that our ships have 21 smoke eaters in each casino..." blah blah blah.

On one of my most recent cruises (2008 or 2009, sadly have not had opportunity since-----until this year!), i lost $200 in a quarter slot machine the first day at sea. The rest of my time in the casino was spent at the quarter pushy game, where i spent $40 in quarters (obviously to no gain) but had a great time and occupied myself for hours on end...

A nice older gentleman watched me play for a couple hours, and helped me strategize where to drop my quarters. He then thanked me for allowing him to watch and talk to him without getting skieved out, and said that i helped him to not blow the $2000 he had won on a slot machine. He gave me $40 to continue playing with!

So sorry to hijack your post. If that gentleman is on this forum, thanks joining me and i hope to see you and your wife again one day!

I didn't get it but wish I had. The smoking on the Vista is the worst. The casino bar is huge and round right in the middle of the casino. All the drunks, who are not gambling, sit there by the droves and yell at each other. Some idiot with a vape set off the sprinklers and the bar was closed for the next day for cleanup. I never saw such a huge cloud come out of one of these and he was aiming it at the sprinklers.

Sprinklers usually triggers with heat...

Same here. I noted, at least, have housekeeping remove ashtrays from next to the nonsmoking machines and all attendants/hosts should be redirecting smokers smoking at the non smoking machines.

The Dream was worse. They opened the doors to the deck during the days when it was closed. I had to ask housekeeping repeatedly to wipe off large amounts of ashes on both smoking and non smoking machines.

I did receive it and completed it. I told them I would spend way more money in there if the smoke wasn't so thick and disgusting. I've sailed on imagination, inspiration and the miracle and they were all too smoky to enjoy the casino. Maybe it's the ships I've had experience on but they were all bad.

Depends on the ship. I'm a smoker that hates smokey rooms (I know, it doesn't make any sense) and I've never been bothered before or after on any ship except the Splendor. The circulation is awful and wafts up the stairs behind the bar a couple floors.
