Mr_Snee Posted May 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2017 I'm pretty sure the Statue of Liberty is on the right (Starboard) side.
RN Cruiser1 Posted May 24, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2017 Clock is on phone. I have never had a separate clock in the room.
Rare BostonGal35 Posted May 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 24, 2017 statue of liberty is on starboard. no clocks in rooms. suites on Star and Gem had clocks - not sure if that's standard in all suites or just on the smaller ships. we always bring a travel alarm as i hate to wake up and not know the time! Sue1260 Posted May 24, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 24, 2017 Just got off breakaway Sunday and had aft balcony no clock in room but not sure if there was one on phone since I moved it to a lower shelf out of the way. Statue of Liberty is on right side when leaving port. You will pass it about 10 to 15 minutes after pulling out of port.
Rare mking8288 Posted May 24, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 24, 2017 Yeeees, it does exist - part of the phone display on the BA ... same handset used in all categories, I believe. But, not really readable & tiny in size. https://www.dropbox.com/s/7000tpbveagz773/IMG20150322_1550%281024x768%29.jpg?dl=0 BYO or use the clock from smartphone or tablet in airplane mode. cruiserking Posted May 24, 2017 #7 Share Posted May 24, 2017 The Statue of Liberty is indeed on the starboard side. It usually takes about 30 minutes to get to the statue once you leave the pier in New York. torxy Posted May 24, 2017 #8 Share Posted May 24, 2017 Are there coffee makers in the balcony rooms?
tel2 Posted May 24, 2017 #9 Share Posted May 24, 2017 Are there coffee makers in the balcony rooms? Yes, small drip coffee pots. I think it is a 2 cup pot.
Rare BirdTravels Posted May 24, 2017 #10 Share Posted May 24, 2017 (edited) Yes the SOL is on the starboard side,,,,, but you will want to be on the port side to see the Manhattan skyline which is breathtaking. No, the coffee makers are NOT 2 cup drips. There are NO 2 cup drips in the fleet. There is a one-cup coffee maker. Your room steward will keep the pre-packed coffee filters refilled. npater Posted May 25, 2017 #11 Share Posted May 25, 2017 It takes approx 1 HR from the time you leave the dock to get to the Verrazano Bridge Sent from my iPhone using Forums
LrgPizza Posted May 25, 2017 #12 Share Posted May 25, 2017 The Statue of Liberty is starboard side, and you will reach it approximately 30 minutes after departing. In my excitement for my upcoming cruise, I've been watching it every Sunday on the Port of NY webcam followed by the New York Harbor WebCam. As someone else said, statue in about 30 minutes and Verrazano-Narrows bridge in about an hour.
