Swapping minibar for coffee cards?

Hi there will be two of us cruising in a suite, and we want to swap out the complimentary minibar for coffee card(s).

Can someone tell me do we get a card each?

Thanks:)

1 minibar swap out = 2 coffee cards

Let your cabin steward know what you'd like and he can take care of it for you, or call room service directly. Enjoy your coffees!

Preferred method is call room service. Room service has a check list of what is in the minibar. If you ask the room steward , he'll still have to call room service.

I've heard that you can use the coffee cards for gelato, as well as coffee. Is this right?

Yes, at the Gelateria on Royal and Regal Princess.

Others have reported using the card for the scoops of Gelato available at the International Cafe on Crown, Emerald and Ruby Princess. But since the cash price of a scoop on those ships is only $1.50, why use a punch with a basis of $2.38 for it?

Just call room service.

Mini bar must be complete.

No partial trade outs for coffee cards.

RS will collect the mini bar and leave the cards.

Cabin steward has nothing to do with it.

He/she have many other things to do than deal with room service for you. ;)

It would only be a secret if everyone did not know about it.

A secret shared amongst a group. Obviously not"everyone" knows since the OP would not have enquired.

A call to room service will get the mini bar changed out. No need to hang around the cabin. If you are not there, they will break down the beverages and leave an envelope with the cards. We try to be there to tip the room service person. We also tell them that they need not hurry. Thrak has brought up that he gifts others without cards coffee on his card and we have adopted practice this as well.
