cruiseSEA52 Posted June 3, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2017 Do they offer any free tours for suite guests? How does the free breakfast/lunch in specialty restaurant work? What type of menu do they offer? How early do they allow luggage drop off in Galveston? Looking forward to my first experience with the suite life. I know about the show seating. Anything else that anyone can share that I should take advantage of?
Clarea Posted June 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2017 They usually offer behind the scenes tours to suite guests. I would express your interest to the Concierge early in the cruise.
Gloworm2 Posted June 3, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2017 It's a Different RC ship but you can get a feel for the suite services by following this blog which is moving into its last day. Just walk in when you are ready to eat. We only did it once on Liberty as we found it slow, so allow yourself some time!

We got a bridge tour once Very limited, although some interesting options, plus the basics( eggs benedictvevery morning) As soon as they clear the gates for entry. Which depends on how fast everybody is getting off. If you plan for arriving about 9, 930 there should be minimal delays. Bontemps Cruiser Posted June 4, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 4, 2017 Anything else that anyone can share that I should take advantage of? Liberty has a suite lounge. During the evenings you will have complimentary adult beverages available. If tendering, you have the opportunity to jump the line. We never used the reserved seating. You will love the room and balcony.

39august Posted June 4, 2017 #10 Share Posted June 4, 2017 Very important to us is the concierge escorted debarkation. You will be first off after self carry and, more importantly, will bypass the lines and find your luggage in a dedicated area. Also quicker customs approval. Spookwife was correct. The Harmony thread will tell you nothing about suites perks on Liberty. Those are just for Anthem and Oasis class ships. There will be an officer hosted "party" at 11 AM one sea day in the suite lounge with very nice appetizers and drinks featuring bloody marys , mimosas and rum punch. Other drinks are available as well. We much enjoy breakfast in Giovanni's Table. Lots of menu options and you can ask for a bowl of mixed berries, which is not on the menu. Specify fresh OJ. They have to go out into the Windjammer to get it. No charge. Lunch is on sea days only with a limited menu. The suite lounge on LB is the only suites-only lounge on any RCI ship other than the Oasis class ships. It is large and beautiful with a very nice outside seating area, both covered and open. But be careful to wipe off seats outside as the soot does tend to drift down on them. Great views from the suite lounge. Limited drinks and wine are complimentary from 4:30 to 8 PM and you can carry out if you wish. No limit to drinks. Appetizers every night as well. The concierge can do pretty much everything guest services can do, so if you have a problem or questions about your account, ask him. He can also print out your boarding passes for flights home. He will escort you (again, bypassing lines) to tenders if you have a tender port.
sellwingri Posted June 4, 2017 #11 Share Posted June 4, 2017 The Grand Suite on Liberty was by far the largest GS we've been in. You'll love it! We did find the Concierge Lounge to be overwhelmingly packed in the evening because this ship has so many Pinacle cruisers. In fact, we met many who were on B2B2B cruises. We do enjoy this benefit though.

Most were friendly, some you wonder why they cruise so much considering the amount of useless complaining they do. With that in mind, it was by far my second favorite place on the ship, with the awesome room being the first. The dining menu for room service was hit and miss when we cruised. But the express embarkation was pretty awesome.
39august Posted June 4, 2017 #13 Share Posted June 4, 2017 Are you speaking of the old Concierge Lounge area on LB? It was tiny, but the new Suite lounge is much larger. Tho' I am Pinnacle and cruise often on LB, I've never been in the Suite lounge when there were no seats available.
Spurschick Posted June 4, 2017 #14 Share Posted June 4, 2017 Have they fixed the access to the SL on Liberty yet? When we were on there the door card reader wasn't working so people were just walking in especially when the concierge was sidetracked talking to people lots were walking straight in. There were also lots of people coming up the outside stairs to the open deck area. It wasn't well managed at all and hence why we couldn't get a seat. 39august Posted June 5, 2017 #15 Share Posted June 5, 2017 Don't count on that door reader EVER being fixed! It is VERY frustrating to the concierges. However, last month, Jorge kept out the "illegals" very well. He asked to see the seapass of every entrant the first night. Thereafter, he pretty much knew who belonged there. If I suspected someone was seated there and didn't belong, I would not hesitate to point them out to the concierge.

In March, the gate at the bottom of the outside stairs was left open and people kept coming up. Once the gate was closed it helped a little, at least from the outside. Bontemps Cruiser Posted June 5, 2017 #17 Share Posted June 5, 2017 Concerning the crowd at the lounge, we only experienced one night when there was no indoor seats. Our concierge did a great job checking people at the door, there was just a lot of Pinacles on board. Many more than suite guests. Some were incredibly friendly, others no so much. Once we identified the sour Pinacles, we just avoided them. All of the suite guest were great and we loved hanging out with them. Its just really hard not to love the Suite Lounge.
