Rare shipshape sam Posted June 10, 2017 #26 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Sushi is a particular type/preparation of rice. Whether something is "real sushi" or not depends on the rice and how the rice is prepared, not the toppings/fillings (and not whether or not the toppings/fillings are raw vs. cooked). Sushi can be topped/filled with anything from vegetables, fruit, eggs, meat, cooked fish, raw fish or other seafood (i.e. octopus, shrimp, crab, squid etc - that also can be cooked or raw). saw this and thought it was pretty good for a simple difference. Like to always be learning, thanks! Sashimi is thinly sliced raw meat—usually fish, such as salmon or tuna—that is served without rice. Sushi is not raw fish, but rather vinegared rice that is mixed with other ingredients, which may or may not include raw fish. In some countries, the terms "sashimi" and "sushi" may be used interchangeably, but this is incorrect usage.

jelayne Posted April 18, 2018 #29 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Thankyou Helen . That's great news. We have $70 OBC remaining after other bookings so that works very well. Would it be available say 5.30? DH got some sushi to go on the Connie at around 5.

Gonzo70 Posted April 18, 2018 #31 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Do the still have free sushi on the Summit. No, all S-Class and M-Class ships now have Sushi on 5, a speciality restaurant, with sushi (as well as a lot of non-sushi items), but none offer free sushi in the buffet anymore, at least not regularly. TeeRick Posted April 18, 2018 #34 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Thank you for getting back to me This thread was initiated near a year ago so everybody now is used to the change from the Oceanview Cafe to Sushi-on-5, which seems to be the only place to go now.
