USB port on Summit

My husband will bring his Fitbit if there's a way to charge it up, otherwise no. It doesn't need to be one on the tv for those devices, can be in the base of a lamp, etc...just need to know if there are any?

I don't know if there are any actual USB charges, but you can always bring a USB to wall outlet plug; most phone cords use those now anyway

I've gotten one of those USB to wall ports thrown in with just about every electronic I've purchased in the past 5 years - but as mentioned, no reason not to bring the fitbit. You can get one pretty cheap.

I plugged mine into the tv USB to charge it.....and it messed up the tv. Engineering came up to fix the tv and all they had to do was unplug my USB. Oops! (Actually that was on the Solstice, but probably the same problem. )

We just had another idea...wouldn't the computers in the internet center have the usb ports? What would stop you from plugging something in to charge while you were using the internet?

The ports are blocked.

Even the dollar stores carry the USB converter plugs now. Also, if you have any kind of cellphone at all, you have a USB converter plug.

For anyone interested, just got off the Summit and had no trouble using the USB ports in the back of the computers in the iLounge. They were not "blocked", except 2 out of 3 had the wires from the computer itself.

 

There was one free one, and I asked if I could use it to charge up the Fitbit..."of course" was the answer, except I was asked to actually be there while it was charging and not to leave it. So dribs and drabs of charging was enough to keep it going for the duration.

 

YMMV on other ships.
