Gampy1967 Posted June 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2017 I know a silly question and tried to find the answer on the NCL sight first but are the bath amenities in the suites (in particular the OS) replaced/replenished as used or do they supply them on the first day and that is it? With all of the posts lately about how they are reducing the free/included items for Suites and Haven items (I know there is no Haven on the Dawn) I thought I would ask. Just trying to figure out if I need to pack shampoo, etc. Thanks.
DMH15 Posted June 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2017 I was in Owner's Suite on Epic in March. They replenished as needed. Not to miss: Bvlgari lip gloss in tube. But stay tuned. The way NCL is changing they might start charging for refills. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
NLH Arizona Posted June 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2017 I was in an aft penthouse on the Dawn in December and everything was replaced as used.

Rare BirdTravels Posted June 9, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 9, 2017 On the Breakaway last week, they replenished periodically. On the Dawn last September, they replenished frequently. Frequent vs periodically = if you stick the bottle of hand lotion in your purse, is it replaced the next time the room steward is in the room or within a couple of days. DMH15 Posted June 9, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 9, 2017 That is funny but we need to stop giving them ideas. Haven't you noticed the pattern? Every few months it is either a price going up or a decrease in product. They are just going down the list incrementally. I am sure it is already on that list. jinteso Posted June 10, 2017 #9 Share Posted June 10, 2017 I just booked a DOS for a 10 day cruise in January on the Dawn. I have not been on a cruise in 20 years and this is my retirement present to myself. Am I going to regret this decision or should I have just not bothered with a suite? don't-use-real-name Posted June 11, 2017 #11 Share Posted June 11, 2017 Bring your own toiletries and then mix and match sample the NCL stuff - like what you see feel - ask your cabin steward for more - a couple more for the trip home. Enjoy !
NH Cruisers Posted June 11, 2017 #12 Share Posted June 11, 2017 I just booked a DOS for a 10 day cruise in January on the Dawn. I have not been on a cruise in 20 years and this is my retirement present to myself. Am I going to regret this decision or should I have just not bothered with a suite? Don't know about you regretting it. I for one definitely would regret nothing! I personally liked the attention we were afforded while in suite on the Dawn compared to the Haven on the Breakaway. Haven is a very nice place, but I getaway from it all in the Spa area. Great personal attention for the Dawns suites. All you have to do is request refills of the soaps, shampoos, etc... if the room attendant does not notice you are low.

If you are comfortable with the price, no worries. Dawn recently refurbed and looks great. DOS on Dawn are quite nice but no balcony. Are you in the inner or outer DOS? Looks like I am on the next cruise after you. The price was "relatively" cheap so I will keep it.

The price was "relatively" cheap so I will keep it. Keep an eye out as these cabins book and cancel all the time. I was in 12500, then 12502 opened up and I switched. Now there are multiple DOS's available for the NYE cruise. Go figure.
dexddd Posted June 13, 2017 #19 Share Posted June 13, 2017 I booked the outer DOS. 12002. We were in that room on the Star. It is quite nice and the wing view is neat.
jinteso Posted June 13, 2017 #20 Share Posted June 13, 2017 I will keep watching rooms to see if 12502 opens up. Would either of the Garden Villas ever open up? It seems like they are booked on almost every cruise.

Otherwise the two rooms on the outer side are the same.
jinteso Posted June 14, 2017 #22 Share Posted June 14, 2017 My DW would really prefer the port side so that she can sit and look out over the cities that we arrive at and depart from. Doesn't matter much to me.
