Biker19 Posted July 8, 2017 #101 Share Posted July 8, 2017 So did the ship not get the memo or was there no memo?
dixieva Posted July 8, 2017 #102 Share Posted July 8, 2017 Ha- you got me good on the pool thing! I had a momentary lapse about just whose review I was reading. Next time I'll know better. What type of stateroom do you have? I have stayed in a D1 balcony, JS, and RFS on Grandeur. Never in a Grand Suite. Would love to see some post dry dock pics of your room when you have time. Don't know if you have sailed from Baltimore before. If not, don't miss sailing under the Key Bridge (about 45 minutes after cast off) and Chesapeake Bay Bridge (about 90 minutes after cast off). Yorkvillain Posted July 8, 2017 Author #105 Share Posted July 8, 2017 We're in oceanview room #3094 which is conveniently located on deck......(wait for it)......4.....no wait, I mean 3. A year ago we were right next door in 3092.
Yorkvillain Posted July 8, 2017 Author #106 Share Posted July 8, 2017 I never understood why some people are afraid to post their stateroom number in their review. Do they leave their door unlocked with stacks of Benjamins, credit cards, passports, piles of gold and DNA samples all over the bed? I don't get it. Anyway, here's ours one more time: Last year: This year: Feel free to stop by our room and steal our identities at any time.
Yorkvillain Posted July 8, 2017 Author #107 Share Posted July 8, 2017 I immediately called maintenance after entering the room because our balcony door appears to be stuck.

Yorkvillain Posted July 8, 2017 Author #110 Share Posted July 8, 2017 It looks like this may becoming a tradition for us. We're celebrating sailaway the same way we did on the Navigator in March - with me at the gym and Courtney taking a nap.

lovelife Posted July 8, 2017 #112 Share Posted July 8, 2017 Following. Anxious to hear your take. Going back on Grandeur for seventh time in a few weeks for old times' sake (and because we can drive to the port in 90 minutes).
TimeToGetNauti Posted July 8, 2017 #113 Share Posted July 8, 2017 Looking forward to the review. I live close to this port but always end up flying to Florida. But now I'm considering something closer for convenience. I can't believe you have a portable squatty potty. That's hysterical and amazing. Have a great trip. Yorkvillain Posted July 8, 2017 Author #118 Share Posted July 8, 2017 Due to Virginia law, the casino will not open for the 1st time this trip until day 3 at 2:40 AM and will close for good at 4:10 AM. 90 minutes should give you plenty of time to deplete your precious brats' inheritance. dixieva Posted July 8, 2017 #121 Share Posted July 8, 2017 Well, they have changed the casino hours again. We cruised Grandeur in late March. In previous years the casino opened after dinner on day 1. In March it opened in the morning on day 2. Now day 3! Not sure if I can stand a whole night and a whole day without going to the casino . Lady Hudson Posted July 8, 2017 #123 Share Posted July 8, 2017 I think this is another Yorkvillain joke. Day 3 puts the ship in Bermuda -- and the casino is closed until the evening. On our last trip the casino was open the am of day 2 and closed around 8 pm on the last evening. Katherine
Yorkvillain Posted July 8, 2017 Author #124 Share Posted July 8, 2017 Oh boy. I think I may have to cut back on the internet sarcasm. The casino hours I posted before was a joke. Sorry about that.
Yorkvillain Posted July 8, 2017 Author #125 Share Posted July 8, 2017 Did you almost fall off the treadmill from all that club soda? I save the club sodas and lime for the nighttime activities. Strictly bottled water during the day. I live a wild life.
