Rare Rogueperson Posted July 11, 2017 #426 Share Posted July 11, 2017 If you can catch it, there's actually a poutine food truck in the DC/Baltimore area. Stops by the office park where I work occasionally. Classic poutine with big chunks of hardwood smoked bacon... drool. Urban Poutine? I've been looking for that truck, but it hasn't stopped near my office yet. One day..soon.

Yorkvillain Posted July 11, 2017 Author #428 Share Posted July 11, 2017 Just look at this old boat. This ship is so disgusting and decrepit that not even Pullmantur wants it. And Pullmantur will take anything that stills floats after muster. Word in the Windjammer is that after this sailing the “Grand Door” is going straight to artificial reef status at the mouth of the Patapsco River. Yorkvillain Posted July 11, 2017 Author #429 Share Posted July 11, 2017 Have you run across the Northstar shopping bags yet. Oh yes. And I have a bunch at home that I'm holding on to for some strange reason.

Yorkvillain Posted July 11, 2017 Author #433 Share Posted July 11, 2017 Is that land in the background?? Yup. The pilot just met us. 2 people left the ship. I have no idea why. They were all waving goodbye from the Pilot boat so I'm sure everything is fine.

Yorkvillain Posted July 11, 2017 Author #436 Share Posted July 11, 2017 RIP Oakley's. I'm sure the Villain loved you well..... Gone too soon. Actually, I had those Oakleys longer than any other pair that I have ever owned so it wasn't that devastating.

Rare firstmickey Posted July 11, 2017 #440 Share Posted July 11, 2017 Haha. If I remember correctly, you two were battling in my Grandeur review last year too. We may have to bring in a Steelers fan to mediate. Just don't insert us (Steelers fans)into mediating with any Pats fan!! Yorkvillain Posted July 12, 2017 Author #443 Share Posted July 12, 2017 Tim, what time did you leave the Pickled Onion and did you have difficulty getting a taxi? We left shortly after midnight I think. There were a few taxis lined up in front. It took about 20-25 minutes to get back to the ship. It cost about $58 which included the 25% after midnight surcharge.

sea shepherd Posted July 12, 2017 #445 Share Posted July 12, 2017 great Live Report.....much appreciated :) been on Grandeur many times with what seemed a revolving-door crew and have 2 upcoming 2017 cruises August & November so few questions if i may... is "Bo" still Casino Host and will he be aboard for my 8/24 sailing ? is "Beeple" still Asst. Scott I can tell you I seen Bo the casino manager on the Empress in march. Also I talked to Daryl the assistant bar manager, when he signed off and went on vacation at the end of May. He said Bipel was going on vacation also. And I believe Melvin is still there, he was as of May. I also talked to Francis he was onboard in the diamond lounge. I booked a month on that ship and wanted to make sure my regular people were going to be there. [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Yorkvillain Posted July 12, 2017 Author #447 Share Posted July 12, 2017 Wow this is new. The Windjammer is having a one-night-only, $49 all-you-can-eat special tomorrow night. Seems too good to be true. We'll probably end up there. You would have to be a real idiot to not take advantage of that deal.
