Princess Cays

Anyone have insight or advice for Princess Cays? The excursions I was looking at have booked up. I've read conflicting information about snorkeling right off the beach. We are packing our own gear since the rental packages are sold out.

You can snorkel right off the beach (when getting off the tender go to the left). It's not remarkable and a lot of people. We look at PC as a quick beach day and then head back to the ship.

Not great snorkeling and not a place where an excursion is necessary. Really just a private beach to chill out on.

Snorkeling at Princess Cays isn't great. But if you have your own gear, you might as well see for yourself. We haven't bothered taking ours on our last few cruises.

We are on the Feb 6, 2018 sailing and no emails from Princess yet on the issues they are having. Does anyone know anything about Cristobel? I will check the other board to check also!

We thought the snorkeling was great - saw tons of fish and felt like we were in an aquarium. We did a back2back in March 2016 and saw lots of fish both times and not really a lot of people. Didn't feel crowded at all.

The clamshell we rented was worth it. Didn't have a problem finding a shade after a quick dip in the beach. Lunch served was nice too.

Snorkel around the pavilion on the left. People feed the fish there. From there continue past pavilion and there is a small shelf reef area that can be entertaining.

Must wear water shoes!!!!!!! The sharp rocks on the beach and in the water cut my feet, and sliced my 4 year old kid's foot open. It was pretty bad.
