Transfer Rome to Civitavecchia?

What is the best way to get from a hotel in Rome to the Cruise Harbor in Civitavecchia?

What he said...but my vote is the train.

Yeah the train is pretty quick...round an hour or so.

 

Once you get to the train station in Civitavecchia you can take a taxi to the edge of the port as its so close although I am not sure if Taxi's go straight into the port and to the ship as its a rather big industrial one.

 

If the taxis only drop you off at the edge of the port there is a shuttle bus that is free that goes to the ship.

The train is straight forward be very inexpensive. Only downside is the gypsies/thieves in and Around the station. Keep your wits about you and you'll be fine.

I used Romeinlimo they were awesome. we arrived a day earlier so we did an Etruscan tour on way to port hotel.

I had booked the train but after getting pick pocketed on a city bus in just threw the train tickets out as I heard it can happen there as well. So when ingot to my hotel i booked Rome Shuttle Limo, who did my airport to Rome transfer, and was very satisfied with the quick reply. I believe it was 100 euro for the two of us and they got us from our hotel on time and to the port quickly. My father's boss also used RSL and had great results.

 

10/10 would use again!

I have been to Rome many times ...I have always used Rome Cabs and Stefano ..His drivers are professional, courteous and punctual ...they pick you up at your hotel and drop you off near the ship usually in front of the terminal where luggage guys take your big bags away ..easy, comfy, relaxing ...excellent
