Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted August 30, 2017 #26 Share Posted August 30, 2017 Glad to hear you enjoyed the suite life on Summit. We had O'Neill as our waiter and he was wonderful. Maja was our MC concierge, but she is on vacation now. Rumor has it that she has been appointed to one of the suite concierge positions.

Jade13 Posted August 30, 2017 #28 Share Posted August 30, 2017 Debarkation in Cape Liberty. Suite life is sweet. . The holding area for the bags was conveniently positioned by the suite line for customs. We went through the quick customs line and then on to the garage. We’re also looking forward to Silhouette in February in an aft corner Sky Suite!!. :D:D:D Why is there a special Suite line for customs once off of the ship? Never heard of that. Sent from my iPhone using Forums There isn't a special suite line for customs. The luggage pick-up area for suites is conveniently located right next to the customs area so it's very easy to access the line. We stayed in the PH and waited online for customs just like everyone else. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

RENEEG Posted August 31, 2017 #32 Share Posted August 31, 2017 We were also on this cruise and an elderly gentlemen had a heart attack on our devil's island excursion and unfortunately they were not able to revive him. Some passing boaters performed cpr and a water ambulance was called.

I looked back at the woman who was assisting in the suite/zenith luggage area to confirm her intentions and she said, yep, go to that short line behind that couple who are next in line. Who am I to argue? :halo:
njaloha Posted August 31, 2017 Author #34 Share Posted August 31, 2017 Your comment on a special suites line for CBP whether true or false has started a very active new thread. We have sailed suites including into Bayonne and never experienced a dedicated suites line. I am aware of the thread. I am not sure what you're implying though. Are you saying you don't think I'm telling the truth? My statement is the truth. Why would my statement be false? My DH and I were directed by the terminal person assisting passengers with luggage in the Suite/Zenith area to move into a line which would allow us to avoid the serpentine queue of other passengers. There wasn't a sign but it sure looked like that's where she was directing all the passengers picking up their luggage from the Suites/Zenith area. I looked back at her to make sure I was understanding her correctly and she said yes go ahead. We were told by another lady at the head of that line to stand next to each other. When the couple in front of us was told to move to the yellow line, we moved forward. Then when the other couple moved to the customs counter, we were told to stand on the yellow line until the customs counter was vacant. Then we were directed to proceed to the customs counter. I'm not making this up. As I stated in my review, this was also the case in Port Everglades when we returned from our Infinity cruise just last October. We picked up our bags and were directed right to a Customs counter avoiding the queue for general passengers.

Mythbuster Posted September 1, 2017 #39 Share Posted September 1, 2017 We were on the same cruise and were definitely directed to a short line in customs after picking up our luggage in the suite area. It was a straight line, not the typical serpentine line everyone else was being directed to. There was maybe 4 couples in line in front of us while there were over a hundred in the regular customs line. The customs agent did not ask any of the normal questions, just scanned the passports and waived us through. The whole process took less than 3 minutes. philpcruiser Posted September 1, 2017 #41 Share Posted September 1, 2017 My wife and I were on the cruise July 30th. This was our 6th cruise on the Summit ((always a suite). Just one thing I need to disagree with you....I did not like the lobster in Luminae. And the last night...the food was uneatable. I'm going to agree with your disagreement. We sailed June 27 (2017) to Canada and New England. The "special" lobster dinner in Luminae was NOT spectacular. (It seemed the lobster boats were unloading on the other side of our pier in Portland!). I received what I thought was a small lobster (boiled). They could have given us a better sized lobster and offered a choice of how we'd prefer it be cooked.

BratDet Posted September 4, 2017 #50 Share Posted September 4, 2017 We jus came off the Summit and were escorted off the ship by our concierge- to the area where the suite luggage was- we were then directed to the non-sepentine line for customs- same as last year- a definite perk of booking a suite...
