Has anyone heard if Celebrity will be offering free transfers to and from SJU for the upcoming Summit sailings?

RCI is doing this for the Adventure of the Sea.

Are you talking from the airport or a precruise hotel to the Pan Am Pier? Call your TA or Celebrity, whoever you booked with and get the answer. (hopefully). I'd also ask if vouchers will be issued if Celebrity is going to offer the (free) transfers.

So far, RC is only doing the free transfer (and free night onboard) for the Oct 7 sailing of Adventure.

I am on the 11th Nov sailing and had to pay 18.00 per person. If travelers from the earlier cruises advise that taxis are plentiful, than I will cancel the transfers and just taxi. I just wanted a plan B if needed :)

I'm on for October 28 and haven't heard anything about that, but it would be nice as I'm a bit nervous about the transportation situation there. We are going to be the "guinea pig" sailing, I guess!

Taxi's are so much better than cruise line transfers. Don't have to wait til the bus is full. That is if there are enough taxi's.

I can understand your concern. I am wondering how many taxis are still operating after Maria. So many people lost cars, houses, etc. I usually take a taxi in San Juan. If I were going from airport to port in San Juan, buy the transfer.

I am more concerned about getting to Puerto Rico right now. I found out last night that my flight was cancelled.
