Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2017 Hello, We were on the Harmony in May, we dined at 150 Central Park four evenings, it was a regular menu, not a tasting menu...question, on the Oasis, is it a tasting menu or regular menu? Norwich Cruiser Posted October 13, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2017 It was the regular menu (and very good it was) when we dined there.
Ashclan Posted October 13, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 13, 2017 THANK YOU for asking this question. I was wondering the same! We have friends who recently returned from the Harmony and raved about 150CP, but a lot of the menus I've seen recently were tasting menus, which would NOT work with my picky husband!! OCruisers Posted October 13, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 13, 2017 HELP! Gosh, I honestly don't know which we had at 150 Central Park on Oasis or the difference between the tasting menu and the regular menu. :o It was what I would call a "set menu". There was one menu for the first part of the week and another for the second part of the week. Was that the tasting menu or the regular menu? Whatever, it was very good with excellent service! :) LuLu

The regular menu has an appetizers, entrees and desserts section either multiple choices in each section.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 13, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted October 13, 2017 I don't like the tasting menu, don't want somebody to tell me what I have to eat plus I need to be gluten free and don't eat most seafood and my other half sugar free, so regular menu works wonderfully for us. jcc1025 Posted October 14, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 14, 2017 We love 150 and will eat there twice in our upcoming cruise. The menu is set, no picking off the menu, it changes mid week. The cucumber martini is to die for. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Hey Tina Posted October 14, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 14, 2017 Was not the case on Harmony this past March or Allure this past January. OP asked about Oasis though, not those ships.
Ourusualbeach Posted October 14, 2017 #13 Share Posted October 14, 2017 OP asked about Oasis though, not those ships. The menu has changed at 150 CP on all ships. The person that I was replying to had stated incorrectly that the menu was still the tasting menu.

The person that I was replying to had stated incorrectly that the menu was still the tasting menu. Gotcha. I guess I incorrectly assumed that they were talking about their first hand experience on the Oasis.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 14, 2017 Author #15 Share Posted October 14, 2017 I went online to my dining and clicked on the 150 and had a sample menu there, that is the exact same menu as we had on the Harmony in May so hoping that menu still exists. crosby99 Posted October 15, 2017 #16 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Does anyone know why they changed it? I really like the tasting menu on Allure. I noticed on harmony it was a traditional menu but assumed that was due to Wonderland?

I noticed on harmony it was a traditional menu but assumed that was due to Wonderland? I dont know for sure but I would assume that a menu that one can select from different dishes has a much wider appeal than a set menu where the dishes offered may not appeal to everyone in the party. We had zero interest in trying 150CP when they had the tasting menu however it is now our favorite specialty restaurant.
Clarea Posted October 15, 2017 #18 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Does anyone know why they changed it? ... I agree with Ken, probably too many people wanted exceptions.
CruiseMor Posted October 15, 2017 #19 Share Posted October 15, 2017 We were on Oasis 3 weeks ago and ate at 150 Central Park on Sept. 25th. I can confirm it was NOT a tasting menu and we ordered from a menu. My favorite was the Roasted Butternut squash soup and short ribs!!
