skynight Posted October 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2017 Well many of Jimmy Buffett's songs certainly celebrate the Caribbean life and tropical drinks. At some ports you will see a Margaritaville restaurant with all the shirts, caps and stuff for sale. I have not heard the ship bands play many Buffett songs, but you'll probably hear the anthem, Margaritaville.

joeyancho Posted October 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 20, 2017 Once we were on a cruise with a parrot head group. They were a lot of fun, especially on formal night. Once we were on a cruise with a Shriner clown group. First time I ever saw a lime green tux with size 54 shoes.
Lucky TGO Posted October 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 20, 2017 The music just makes me smile and want to take The Rowboat up the Charles River in Boston for a slow cruise. :) The Captain of The Rowboat, Tony
lovevacadays Posted October 20, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 20, 2017 His music didn’t inspire me to cruise as cruising was always on my list of priorities. However, I love Jimmy Buffet. His concerts have been some of my favorites and the general message of how to live life I get from his songs are a part of my life.

Dawniepoo Posted October 20, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 20, 2017 There is something about Jimmy and his music that just make me calm and happy. I call "Margaritaville" my happy place song. It is my go-to song for lifting my spirits.

Cruiseboy86 Posted October 21, 2017 #11 Share Posted October 21, 2017 Kind of the opposite. I became a bigger fan of Buffett after taking our first cruise through the Panama Canal.

Fins UP!!! Grey Mother, mother ocean, I have heard you call Wanted to sail upon your waters since I was three feet tall You've seen it all, you've seen it all Watched the men who rode you switch from sails to steam And in your belly you hold the treasures few have ever seen Most of them dream, most of them dream Written by J.
