oldguysandgalls Posted November 11, 2017 #127 Share Posted November 11, 2017 (edited) This actually happened on one of our cruise/shore excursions: Samana, Dominican Republic: After we boarded the bus and well on our way, the shore excursion tour guide announced: " this bus is equipped with a washroom but..... we are out of TP". One passenger said: "Here ...use mine" - "CATCH " ! As she threw a roll of TP at her. Priceless! One passenger said: "Here ...use mine" - "CATCH " ! As she threw a roll of TP at her. Priceless! True story, we were in Dominica many years ago on a tour to the Emerald Pools. We asked our guide where the bathroom was and he looked at me funny and said there was none. Well, nature was calling and woods was all around. I stepped off the path went into the woods for some privacy. My sneakers disappeared in the mud and my feet were just as muddy. I had to dig out my shoes and wrapped them in my beach towel and was barefoot. After that peeing in the woods instance, we returned back to our bus and lo and behold what do we find? A shack marked Toilets:eek: I can only guess that our tour guide thought I wanted to take a bath. Be careful what you ask for in foreign lands.:cool:

champbord Posted November 11, 2017 #132 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Loyalty has it's benefits! ;-) Glad everyone is taking this in the spirit is was meant. It's nice to have a little fun once in a while. Now onto tipping the people who deliver my mail and packages! When I lived at home the Postal workers wore a nice USPS uniform and delivered mail at the front yard. We spoke almost daily. During the holidays, my parents used to leave a jar of fancy nuts in our mailbox as a festive gesture. Now, mail is delivered in bulk 1/2 a block from my house. I have never spoken to them except to tell them to stop putting my neighbors' mail in my assigned slot! When I drive by they are not even wearing a uniform. Looks like civilian workout clothes. They also wear head phones and listen to music. This is my rant! (lol!!!!) I want to be neighborly and leave gifts, but society has changed!!! champbord Posted November 11, 2017 #133 Share Posted November 11, 2017 After traveling with over a thousand Diamond and above cruisers for twenty-two days, you have no idea how this thread has made me smile! I am now Emerald and so was invited to the Welcome Cocktail Party where we spent a good deal of time giving bravos to the new Pinnacle folks with their little awards, photos, etc.. Wait, I'm supposed to clap because people are wealthy and have lots of vacation time? Yes! Don't forget to smile and curtsy at us! We like that, too! lol

HicksRA Posted November 11, 2017 #137 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Does he escort you to a private "Casino Perks" Restroom, or simply give you one of those "Flush on Us" cards? I won one of those “flush on us” coupons at Bingo, but the guy next to me shared a drink for me from his Deluxe Pkg so i let him have it.

"Flush on us" only, apparently D gets the escort and D+ gets the seat wiped for them before hand. Pinnacle on the other hand gets the works .... put it this way apparently what goes on in that room stays in that room ;)
grapau27 Posted November 11, 2017 #139 Share Posted November 11, 2017 For each pee - pee that reaches a live plant from your neighborhood balcony, you get a one flush OBC* *Limited time only. Offer may be withdrawn at any time. Thats a good water saving tip.

starrcards Posted November 11, 2017 #143 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Hang in there. Nothing better than getting the water with your dinner perk. Remember a lot of meteors got that status when they did points per hour not per day. Sent from my SM-G920P using Forums mobile app Water with dinner? For free? WOW that is a perk. Cigar King Posted November 11, 2017 Author #145 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Space Junk status? WOW! We are only Cosmic Dust status but Zap says after 214 more cruises, we'll make Space Junk status. I can hardly wait, if I live that long. Hey. You got to think positively. You're going to make it. YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE IT! There now, don't you feel better? Now get back below decks and row! ;-)
Cigar King Posted November 11, 2017 Author #146 Share Posted November 11, 2017 As someone suggusted, we have followed your lead and developed three toilet paper programs soon to be available in your cruise planner. 1. 1 ply sandpaper like $16.99 per 7 rolls plus 18% gratituity 2. 2 ply average gas station like $22.99 per 7 rolls plus 18% gratituity 3. 2 ply Charmin like generic $34.99 per 7 rolls plus 18% gratituity I have seen some people just slap a luggage tag on a big package of TP and have it delivered to their room. I know the rules say you can't do that, but they are not enforced. Still, you could get called down to the naughty room.

Mine has a trigger on the side. It's easier for me to control. You can bring your own, just as long as it is not electric. Remember, no power strips. Get a battery powered one and bring plenty of spare batteries. You'll go through a LOT of pepper on a cruise. Personally I like putting a little in the hot tub to really open up the pores. Then I just put the "books" inside our carry on bags. Works everytime. Sent from my SM-G920P using Forums mobile app
