dorchrislen Posted November 27, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 27, 2017 yes, and others won't realize it's there until after the first couple days, so enjoy! My son and I had the tables up there as out meet up for lunch no matter where we chose to grab food, and there was always a spot for us. very nice. sarmat1 Posted November 28, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 28, 2017 It's there and by far my favorite lunch place on the Splendor. A great way to get away from the Lido crowds too.
Paddy41 Posted January 1, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 1, 2018 Can someone name a few items available at the BBQ spot?
v3cruiser Posted January 1, 2018 Author #11 Share Posted January 1, 2018 Bake beans, cole slaw, potato salad, pulled pork, chicken, beef. Guy Fieri's sauces - sweet and smoky, saracha, and KC style.

kcdancerkc Posted January 17, 2018 #17 Share Posted January 17, 2018 The pork was the most moist compared to the beef. Mac n cheese doable. KC sauce and Brown sugar were good. Hubby eats almost anything, but did not like the beans..... when buffet is crowded you can take your food up there with less madness
SLCfirsttimer Posted January 23, 2018 #18 Share Posted January 23, 2018 Is the beef something along the lines of a brisket? The pork was the most moist compared to the beef. Mac n cheese doable. KC sauce and Brown sugar were good. RedSails1968 Posted January 24, 2018 #19 Share Posted January 24, 2018 We tried the BBQ on embarkation day on the Conquest. It was after 2:00 and close to their closing time, and the food tasted like it had been sitting there a while. I guess if you go earlier it might taste fresher? KatieCharlotte Posted January 24, 2018 #20 Share Posted January 24, 2018 Thank you for the info and posting the menu. Forgive me, but I'm completely uninformed about BBQ -- which sauce would be sweet and not too spicy? Also, do the Conquest-class ships have beverage stations on the floor above Lido with the BBQ? Mike981 Posted January 29, 2018 #21 Share Posted January 29, 2018 Just had it on Splendor and it was 'okay'. But. I cook a lot of BBQ, so I might be in the minority.

Forgive me, but I'm completely uninformed about BBQ -- which sauce would be sweet and not too spicy? Also, do the Conquest-class ships have beverage stations on the floor above Lido with the BBQ? Brown Sugar should be the sweetest sauce. KC should be a balance of sweet, tart, and just a hint of spicy. The other sauce should be hot.
sandebeach Posted January 29, 2018 #23 Share Posted January 29, 2018 I enjoyed the BBQ place on Splendor, as other posters have indicated, not everyone knows that it is located in the back, and above the Lido buffet. You can take the stairs or the elevator to get there. Was usually much less crowded than Lido and I really liked the mac'n'cheese.
