12 pack question

9 days until our NYE cruise on the Pride. DH and I are planning to carry on the 2 12-packs of soda we are allowed. Does the 12 pack need to be unopened or can we bring 12 mixed cans in each? Obviously the cans would remain sealed!

They just limit the total number. Bring as many varieties as you please.

I agree with what others have said, mix and match is just fine. In fact, I'd suggest that even if you carry on a 12-pack, bring a bag to put the cans in- in Galveston the pop police trashed the box and I wouldn't have been able to carry them all if I hadn't been warned by fellow CC'rs to bring a bag along... they didn't just open one end and pull them out- the guy ripped it open down the middle! Cans all over the place!~

Thank you! I would rather she lose those little Deer Park bottles than her nice bottle. She gets excited and sits things down. Pooh Bear never but everything else at least once.

You got some bad advice from a post above. The smaller bottles of water aren’t permitted just like the larger ones. Plastic bottles aren’t permitted to carry on of any size.

No, no bottled beverages other than wine are allowed to be carried on. You could carry on an empty or 10 and no one would care, or invest in some cheap water bottles from Dollar Tree for the little one. That way if they get lost it's no big deal.

I just called DD to tell her it was OK.

I know on a recent RCCL cruise we took a case of water and what we didn't use we gave to the room steward.

I just did not know the CCL policy. I would hate to trash a case of water at the port.

You can't bring bottles on board carnival. However, you can prepurchase a 12 pack for $4.50 from the funshops.

My apologies- I read the post too quickly and thought it was about the smaller cans of soda, not bottled water!

 

It's true that you cannot bring bottles of any kind onboard...

I will pre purchase for the cabin some water but really wanted those little 8 oz ones for her.

Oh well, will bring a few cheap bottles as someone suggested and if she sits them down I won't be out much.
