Escape- Platinum Tendering?

Our upcoming Escape cruise has two tender ports. Any recent Platinum or Platinum Plus cruisers that can explain to us how is Escape handling tendering for the higher Latitude levels? (Not in Haven on this one!)

The web-site just says we should show our keycard to get this and other benefits. I'm thinking it may not be that easy:confused:

if you board early, use the touchscreen tvs by the elevator or the app on your device to reserve whatever tender ticket grouping you want. i did this on the breakaway when it tender to the GSC.

Not sure if the tender group is stored on your key card but i noticed no one was really checking the group numbers when the ship was tendering in the morning at GSC

I guess with platinum, you do not have to reserve a ticket group but it might be best to do it anyways

So can Platinum just go directly to the tendering point?

Or do they need to go to the Theater and wait with the groups waiting to be called?

Not to the front of the line, just get in line with those who have collected tickets. There could be a staff member checking tickets, just show them you key card. That is what we have done in the past. If you are on a NCL excursion then follow the instructions on the tickets. Possibly meet in the theater, Haven and suite guest get escorted down if they wish.

Platinum guest join the back of the line. Havens guests get escorted via crew elevator to a dedicated security check podium (front of the line).

I wouldn't expect front of a line. Just want to know if we head to the tendering point or if we need to go to the theater first.

Only go to the theater if your NCL excursion states that you meet there. If you are on a non NCL excursion or just want to go ashore then join the back of the line. :)

As I have said the Cruise Next staff will arrange a meeting point for those who are Platinum Plus to be escorted without having to line up for tender tickets.

That's how we did it on Epic last year. We (P & P+) assembled in a bar and the Cruise Next consultant directed us from there. Read your Platinum welcome letter when you get to your room and look for instructions in it, or you will get them the night before, can't remember which. Unfortunately for us, it was confusion & delay once we got to the bar. We will be finding out together this time!

Just got off the Escape. You will get a letter in your room telling you where to meet and what time for priority tenders. Just cutting the line is rude and causes back ups for all those polite people who bothered to get tender tickets. The agent swiping cards was sending people away if they didn’t have the tender ticket called. But again, this holds everybody else up as the guest who cut takes time to argue. Have fun!

Thank you! Glad to know they send the letter to your room with directions.

I didn't start this thread to find out how to 'cut in line'.....just wanted to know what the procedure is. We have never tendered from a ship as large as the Escape.

I know you weren’t planning on cutting. Just responding to the posts advising you to just hop in line. One of your latitude status perks is priority tendering. Enjoy.

Thank you! I don't want to try and get somewhere I shouldn't be, but I also don't want to miss out on one of the Platinum Plus perks we could enjoy. It's nice to know how they are handling this on the Escape.

Some things like the 'Concierge' benefit just aren't happening on every ship. Since each ship can handle things differently it was great to read that you just got off the Escape and they sent letters to the room.

Hope you have your next cruise booked or are booking soon:D

I cruised the Escape from Dec 16-23, 2017. I did not get a letter with tendering instructions. However, there was a sign posted at the CruiseNext desk with instructions. For Grand Cayman, the meeting point was the Supper Club. Upon arriving, a crew member waived us into the regular line of guests walking down the stairs from the theater. Super easy!

Great Stirrup Cay was a different story. We were again directed to the Supper Club. But this time, we were told to take a seat...along with a roomful of others waiting. We waited quite some time (20-30 minutes) while the room continued to fill. Finally, a crew member told us to follow him and we were directed to a crew stairwell where we walked downstairs and then "merged" quite haphazardly with the regular line. It was an organized mess. ha. Tendering to the private island was slowed because we were sharing tenders with the Sky. It was SLOW going and the return to the ship involved quite a long wait as well.

Hope this helps a little.

Very helpful information! It sounds like the Escape is attempting to smooth this process out. If I don't have a letter in our room I will be checking at the CruiseNext desk. Thanks to all for your replies!

Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year with lots of cruising:cool:

We just got off the Escape on Dec. 23. When we got to our cabin, there was a message waiting on our phone from the Latitudes person detailing how the priority tender system would work for Falmouth (where we were unable to dock). There was a certain time frame and location where we met. No instructions were updated for GSC but we went to the same place.

Just off the Pearl . Your Platinum key card is your tender ticket. You can go to the tender line at any time you like .

No cuts. ;)

This. Just get in line with whatever group is currently boarding and if anyone asks for your ticket just show them your Platinum key card.

You're not cutting the line. It's more like your card is a "Any Group" ticket.
