CAS Drink Card - who gets one?

I couldn't find the answer while searching , so hopefully someone can help.

I've booked a cruise through CAS using the Total Rewards discount (my wife & I are both diamond).

There are 3 of us in the room - myself, my wife and my sister-in-law.

My wife & I have the bev package from NCL as one of the promos. SIL doesn't since she's guest #3.

Now the question - does every adult in the stateroom get a drink card, or is it just the primary guest (me) who booked it via CAS ?

Thanks!

Our recent cruise was booked through CAS as I am a Diamond TR member as well. My husband is NOT, but he also got the drink card also. We both had the bev package so it didn't really matter anyway. Not sure if that helps you, as we did not have a third in the room, but that was my experience.

When I sailed on Getaway with 2 other cabin-mates, we all got the CAS drink cards. I’m attempting to get through to CAS today to book another cruise for 3, and will report back if I can reach my contact!

Awesome! Thanks!

Although you have the UBP, the CAS drink card is also good for bottled water in the Casino. The UBP doesn't cover bottled water, but we like to have one to carry off the ship in ports or use in our cabin. I think it's also good to get Energy drinks the UBP doesn't cover like RockStar, but I haven't tried that.

Everyone over 21 in your cabin will receive a casino card and a casino drink card.....

FYI........ Platinum players at Total rewards do NOT get a casino card any longer, they only receive the 10% off the cabin, there is a thread in the CC casino page of a very unhappy passenger from a few weeks back.

There will be 4 of us in our suite next month. I just called CAS and they told me only the 1st and 2nd guests will receive the drink card. So frustrating when we constantly get different answers every time we call. :(

Wow! I know the UBP is only for the first two guests, but the casino drink card? That would be a huge change! Hoping my CAS rep had the right answer! You’re right - the different answers is very frustrating.

You usually can also cajole the casino servers to give you an unopened can of soda, rather than a glass. We would get pepsi and water for our room fridge... Yes, call me cheap, but it drove me crazy that I could only get watered down pepsi with a ton of ice, so I wanted cans....

I book through CAS but am not a huge gambler, I don't even know what level I am. The last few times I cruised, I had the UBP so only used my casino card for bottled water. But the drinks that I qualified for when I did use the card were the lowest level, and not very good. Plus you can only use it for drinks in the casino. It is still better than nothing though.

Watered down? You don’t have to get it with a ton of ice. Just ask for little or no ice.

It is not really cajoling re the can of soda. If you are sapphire and above you get the cqn if you wish.

I'm Sapphire and on the Escape the servers reluctantly told me I would have to get the free cans directly from the bar-tenders. Any other Sapphires run into that? Are they not trusting the servers?

I had no trouble getting a couple of unopened cans from the Casinos Skyline Bar. I like to take one or two back to the room too.

  • 3 months later...

I am bumping this question to ask anyone who has recently sailed on a CAS comp with multiple adults in the room. Were there drink cards for every adult in the room? Specifically I have 5 in the Suite and only 2 of us have the UBP. Thanks in advance.

Every cruise we have taken we have had the CAS drink cards for all 21+ in our cabin.

Thank you for the response. I normally sail with the kids in the room, so have never needed them for more than 2 adults. [emoji3]

Guess I'll find out next month....

unfortunately, as a Platinum card holder with Total Rewards, I was told I'd get a free drink card, then CAS confirmed thru an email, that it was never the case:(:(:(:(. would love to know the recent experience of platinum card holders.:confused:
