Suite perks questions (Oasis Class)

I have recently booked a Crown Loft and wondering about a few perks. Any information is appreciated.

1. Can you book Coastal Kitchen prior to boarding (online)?

2. Can you order menu items from Coastal Kitchen for in room dining?

3. Is wine and beer free throughout the day in the suite bar area?

4. Do you get escorted off the ship when returning to FL?

5. We are traveling with children in a balcony room can we get them room keys to our room and vice versa.

Thank you again for your help.

1. Generally, CK is not available to book online, prior to the cruise, however some have had this option available. Most do not. It seems to be hit-or-miss. I would say that you will, most likely, have to wait until you get onboard to book CK. Not sure which ship you are sailing, but on Harmony, the first night is the only night they offer the filet. It's worth booking CK on night #1 for that reason and you can do that once on board.

2. You can order food from CK for delivery to your suite on Harmony. Not sure about the other ships.

3. Bob has already answered #3. Yes. 11AM-11PM. Also water and soft drinks are available.

4. Yes, the Concierge will escort you off the ship on disembark. Worth noting that in Miami, Concierges are not permitted to leave the ship so unless this changes with the new terminal, once Oasis moves to Miami there could be some issues with the Concierge escorting you off the ship. In Miami there is not (or didn't used to be) a dedicated suite line for C&I. Hopefully that will change with the new terminal. It's a huge deficiency, currently, IMO

5. Yes, either Guest Services or the Suites Concierge will be able to get extra keys made for both rooms so that everyone will have access to both rooms...however, chances are only your original [suite] keys will open the Suites Lounge/CK door(s). I doubt they would provide keys with access to the suites area to persons in a non-suite room.

Thank you so much for the quick response. We are on Oasis of the Seas. Have never stayed in a suite so very excited. Again Thank you. If anyone could confirm these things are true on Oasis that would be great.

Not until March, just getting excited! With the disembark process are we required to carry off our luggage or will they have someone do that? We were going to have to self disembark due to an earlier flight and needed to pack light due to the self disembark process. However, if they get the luggage, that's a whole new ball game!

They won’t carry your bags off unless you are Star Class (as far as I know). However you will have the earliest tags possible if you put luggage out.

Definitely let the concierge know if you want reservations in CK for dinner. We were contacted about a week out and also let them know some shows we wanted (late booking so many times were full). No problems once onboard but CK reservations filled very quickly.

We sailed Oasis in October in an OS. Expect the EMail from concierge one week prior to sailing. We never made CK reservations in advance and never had an issue getting a table when we wanted. Beer and Wine is available during those hours and a full complementary cocktail bar starts around 5:30 PM, no blender drinks. Full bar is available earlier, but you pay or use a drink package.

One important note on the free SL drinks is it's a long walk from the Suite Sun Deck to the SL. It's not worth the walk for a free beer or wine during the day when there's a bar a few feet away on the suite only sun deck.

To be escorted off we had to meet in the champagne bar at specific times and were walked to the gangway, not all the way into the terminal. You can have food from CK or MDR delivered to your suite.

You can get extra keys to your room, but they won't be the suite "perk" color, so the kids can't "sneak" into SL or CK. Unless, not that I did it, you lend your purple card to one of the kids. Only the comedy show really needs to be booked in advance and I would do that well prior to getting the concierge Email.

Prior to boarding I type out a list including our cabin number, showing what days and hours I want reserved for dinner. When you board go right to the Coastal Kitchen and give your list to the restaurant host.

You can order almost anything, we order burgers ,what ever and they get it for us. If they cannot they will tell you. You also do not have to book your shows, just show the boarding card and they have VIP seating. You can book the Coastal Kitchen ahead of time on line only on the Harmony and any new ship.

To leave the ship tell the concierge what time you want off, they have set times, make sure you get the right tags for your bags.

Eonjoy!

Well, actually, you can only book coastal kitchen online for anthem, I believe? Definitely not harmony. And as mentioned earlier, you may want to prebook the comedy show.

We booked the Coastal Kitchen online when we sailed the Harmony April 2017. However, this may have now changed.

Hmmm...interesting. I find that I am unable to book CK online for upcoming cruise end of month. And pretty sure others in recent months have said the same for other Harmony sailings. but we all know that Royal is capable of changing things. Thanks for sharing your experience.

You don't have to wait for the call, call them.

Okay thanks for the tip? Do you know if they will allow us to bring linked reservations who are not in a suite? First time we have had others traveling with us outside of a suite category.

You sort of have to make a decision to cruise the suite program or not. I think your friends can pay to go to CK, but I am not sure. When we cruise with friends we do not get a suite, when we travel alone we get a suite.

We got upgraded to a GS from a W guarantee. Not going to turn that down when there were originally no suites available on this sailing when we booked. So guess we will see what they say....all we can do is ask! Mainly just looking at day 1.

Having linked reservations means nothing with regard to extending suite perks to non-suite guests. It all depends on the policy on your sailing, all you can do is ask.

Day 1 is the best meal in CK, you'll be hard pressed to bring guests.
