The Big Lebowski Posted January 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2018 Does anyone know the earliest you can board Princess in San Pedro? Our boarding time is 1:30pm but we have a suite. Does that mean we can go any time? We are leaving on Super Bowl Sunday and I want to be able to post up on the deck by the pool to eat, drink and enjoy the big screen. I'm in fear of showing up and finding every lounge chair taken. Don't want to end up in the theatre or my cabin watching.
3kidsncats Posted January 12, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2018 It will depend on when the ship clears customs, but the average seems to be around 11:30-12pm.
voljeep Posted January 12, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2018 Princess should have a "special" muster drill by MUTS:cool:
victory2020 Posted January 12, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2018 Princess should have a "special" muster drill by MUTS:cool: I was on a superbowl cruise on CCL & they delayed muster till the next morning so it didn't interfere with game. paul929207 Posted January 12, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2018 We are usually in our cabin between 11:30 and noon
The Big Lebowski Posted January 12, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted January 12, 2018 Muster drill doesn't bother me near as much as people hogging all the lounge chairs with a towel marker and then not coming back for an hour (or longer). I heard about them possibly delaying the muster drill....... that would be AWESOME!!!!! More game time, more beer and more food.
JF - retired RRT Posted January 12, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 12, 2018 The SUGGESTED times by deck are not mandatory. The port starts allowing passengers in for check-in around 10AM. Once you're in the doors, you complete the health questionnaire, ride the escalator up and sit and wait. The waiting area for Suite/Elites is near the entrance to the Preferred check-in line. If your're quick, when they announce Suite/Elite (usually around 10:30-11), you'll be in Group A. You then proceed through security and wait (again) in the Suite/Elite lounge. Once the ship is cleared by Customs and "zeroed" (everyone who isn't crew has to leave the ship), they'll start boarding by Groups. If you're in Group A, you'll be on the ship in plenty of time to grab a lounger. After boarding, the majority of passengers race to the buffet rather than MUTS.;p As others have stated, we're usually on the ship by 11:30. DrivesLikeMario Posted January 13, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2018 The chairs around MUTS won't fill up very quickly on that day IMO. Most people will be all googly-eyed, walking around the ship, taking pictures and more importantly, eating lunch. I would guess by 3pm it might be busier. The Big Lebowski Posted January 13, 2018 Author #9 Share Posted January 13, 2018 Much thanks to everyone for the advice. We'll get there at 10:00am and hopefully by noon I'll be having my first cocktail poolside...... waiting for 3:30pm kickoff. If we must muster so be it. I'll put spike strips on my lounge chair.
