CHEZMARYLOU Posted January 12, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2018 Jayleen's Alaska in Juneau has a great whale watch, limited to 6 guests.
Italy52 Posted January 13, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2018 You didn't say what your interests are so it's a little hard to make excursion suggestions. If whale watching is of interest, then I recommend Jayleen's Alaska or Harv and Marv in Juneau. In Icy Strait, I recommend Glacier Wind Charters. Mr. Click Posted January 13, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 13, 2018 The train ride out of Skagway passes through some beautiful scenery. They offer several options on the length of the ride. You will need a vaiid passport for the ride because it passes into Canada from the US so Canadian border patrol does come on board the train checking for passports. That cruise ends is Seward I believe and from there you can get a nice tour of the Kenai Peninsula on the way to Anchorage. From Anchorage take a few days and head out to Denali. More stunning scenery and an easy DIY tour.
Rare Keith1010 Posted January 13, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2018 For private tours that we do on our own I make use of the Alaska Ports of Call Board and also Cruise Critic's sister site at http://www.tripadvisor.com Roll call is great to share tours and also to learn what others are doing.
