Zipline in Labadee

Was reading the forums about the zipline in Labadee and did not see the answer to following. Do they require helmets while riding? DH wants to do zipline but will not put something on his head that has been on someone else's.

Yes they do. They are also required on the ships that have zip lines aboard them.

No you don’t use a helmet in Ladadee. We just did it last month. You can wear sunglasses also. We’ve done this 3 times and I absolutely love it!

Yup, no helmets on Labadee, did it twice in the last couple years.

 

Some men wore their baseball caps backwards.

 

One guy had is go pro strap on his head and videotaped.

 

I on the other hand just held on for dear life and lived to talk about it.

I wonder why they make you wear head gear on the 5 second ride aboard the ships and then not on Labadee?:confused:

I checked my photos from a stop at Labadee and a trip on the Allure and I can confirm that zipliners in Labadee are bareheaded and zipliners on the Allure are wearing a helmet.

On Labadee there’s nothing to hit your head on.... open air ride..

Onboard the ship you may hit the railing... Same as if your traveling thru a forested area.
