Separate Check-in

Hey everyone,

I have been on several cruises and have never checked in separately. Do both parties in the room need to check in at the same time? After dropping off the bags and DW, I am dropping off the car a few blocks away and don’t want to have to wait for me to get back to port to go through security and check-in. Possibly get a better boarding number too. Your experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Assuming whoever checks in first has the credit card being used to cover on-board expenses (or separate one if using two), there should be no problem.

Of course, unless the parking is a long distance away, whoever is left off with the bags is likely to have to wait a few minutes anyway - and can pick up number for checking in, and can be joined by the driver before actually checking in.

You should have two copies of the check in paperwork. One for each of you.

Oh, and make sure each of you has your own ID. NOT good is DW has both passports and checks in and leaves you without ID. :D
