yuvraj Posted January 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2018 I have booked to go on the very first Symphony sailing on March 31st which is marketed as pre-opening. This was on impulse but now I am starting to get nervous about finding myself on a building site. Any ideas on what I should expect? Anyone else booked on this cruise? yuvraj Posted January 16, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted January 16, 2018 Chatter on roll call thread suggests that people booked on the cruise expect to be fully operational. I suspect a lot of people will be reporting disappointment if it isn't.

madra2112 Posted January 16, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 16, 2018 I'm on that sailing, and as I see it, I'm prepared to bear the smell of paint and a little inconvenience for the price I paid. My expectations are not excessive, my main concern is that the shows may not be ready, but even if I'm watching previews/rehearsals, I'll be happy. Rare little britain Posted January 16, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 16, 2018 They have learnt their (expensive) lesson from Harmony. This first Symphony cruise is clearly being marketed as a pre-opening cruise; therefore they have a clear get out if things are not fully operational. They call it the 'biggest dress rehearsal at sea' where you can 'access rehearsals' I personally would not expect everything to be up and running.
