I took time to write this post on CC to warn others- based on OUR experience. There were many seated beside us with similar issues holding up their boarding- and if my posting helps even one person... it served its purpose.

But I wish I had not bothered and could remove my posts! It is not worth the condemnation.

 

In your original post, you said you were sure you could use alternate documents - had you checked with Carnival and received the information from their source? If so, I would certainly take the issue up with their Head Office. I hope the rest of your vacation was uneventful by comparison.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience. I think it is a good remainder to check & make sure you have all the required documents when travelling. Glad that all ended well & that you did get to do your cruise.
