RC free gratuities

Hi,

I'm pretty new here, so I hope I am on the right thread, and sorry if this has been asked and answered already....

I am curious, I purchased a cruise in Febuary 2018 for Allure of the Seas, sailing October 2018. It included prepaid gratuities, and when I log in it shows as having prepaid gratuities, so all good there.

My question is, whenever I purchase any drinks/food/shore excursions etc, I am being hit up for gratuities again. Is this how it is meant to work, or are my pre-paids meant to cover everything? I know there is the 13.50 per day gratuity for passengers, I just wasn't sure if that is what the pre-paids covers, or if it everything except room service.

Thanks for any help you can give, and I hope you all have GREAT times on your cruises :)

The $13.50 per day covers your dining staff, stateroom attendant, and stateroom helpers.

For the items that you ,isted you should have only been charged an extra 18% gratuity on the drink package.

Royal is not (yet) charging gratuities on shore excursions or the restaurant packages.
