suzyed Posted February 4, 2018 Author #27 Share Posted February 4, 2018 I apologize for my rude comment. Here is a link to where it still shows 3 packages on the MSC website as being available for internet options. Social, Surfer, and Streamer. Currently on my booking only Social and Streamer options show up for pre-booking. Same here Gert....just the Surfer and the Streamer. Here is what is showing for our sailing: Spa, Health and Fitness Internet & Connectivity Laundry Streamer Cruise Plus Full Internet access including Audio and Video up to 2500MBs + an esclusive 20% more data ( total amount 3000 MBs) Read lessAdult $ 119.90 PP Child $ 119.90 PP Add to cart Surfer Cruise Plus Access to social networks, chat apps emails and web (No Audio and Video) browsing up to 1000 MBs + an esclusive 20% more data (total amount 1200 MBs) Read lessAdult $ 54.90 PP Child $ 54.90 PP
fallujahkid Posted February 4, 2018 #28 Share Posted February 4, 2018 I believe I saw an onboard Internet cafe with several terminals but I can’t say for sure. Surfer cruise plus was included for me as a promotion. Once onboard I was able to upgrade from my device to the streamer package for only thirty some dollars more. Streamer cruise plus allowed four devices. Strangely it gave me an allowance of 6500 mb. Usage was tabulated in a way I haven’t seen and it went fast however. Book the surfer package in advance as it will save you an onboard service charge and allow a larger data pool. Then upgrade if you need to. Cruising...our happy place Posted February 4, 2018 #30 Share Posted February 4, 2018 For those who have been on the Seaside.... how would you rate your internet service? Strong signal in all parts of the ships? Or certain areas of the ship? Sent from my iPad using Forums
fallujahkid Posted February 4, 2018 #31 Share Posted February 4, 2018 Used internet in forward most cabin (grand suite 11002), Seashore restaurant (deck 5 mid aft), speciality restaurants (deck 16), Marketplace buffet and Deck 16 buffet, atrium bars, sports bar, casino bar, and probably a few more bars. Never experienced connectivity or speed issues. My two friends have iPhones so they needed assistance in how to log back on a few times. No complaints from either with the service. Even our data piggy (lots of instagram and Snapchat video) was super satisfied.
frank808 Posted February 4, 2018 #32 Share Posted February 4, 2018 Nice. We are kicking ourselves for missing it when they had the unlimited package available. The only unlimited packages i have seen were the social media package. You could surf and post to social media and use instant messaging sites like facebook unlimited. You could not post or watch videos on facebook. No web surfing was allowed. That is the only unlimited package i have seen from msc. Msc has always had a data limit on their packages. austenfiend Posted February 5, 2018 #35 Share Posted February 5, 2018 Sorry, I was talking about when we’re on land, we get free internet and text when we’re in port, so when we’re in Miami, Nassau, Cozumel, etc... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk When we are in ports, don't you incur international charges?
Rare DCGuy64 Posted February 5, 2018 #36 Share Posted February 5, 2018 When we are in ports, don't you incur international charges? No, that's precisely why I love my phone operator. (Not sure if we're allowed to say on CC but it's the magenta-colored one). Free texts and data overseas, $0.20/min for calls.
