We are also taking the bus to the Magic Kingdom that day. Haven’t been there in a zillion years. It will be interesting to see how our old favorites like Pirates of the Caribbean are holding up.

 

It’s a Value Day, so about the lowest crowds, but that’s all relative of course!

We're forgoing Disney this time. It would do our little one a disservice for her first ever trip there to be so rushed. Plus it isn't inexpensive. 39 USD just gets you transportation.

 

We'll either hit up a beach or stay on board.

Looking forward to see if there is a tribute band playing in 270 this week, last time we saw a Journey Tribute Band which was a great great show.

Made it onboard in one shot, no stopping except to fill out the illness cards and checkin. 5 mins tops. Quickly came up to the frigid pool deck

All in all it was a pain free drive-arrival-boarding so far.

 

Parking in the lot is $20 per day so $160 for the 8 Nights. Pay on the way out so save some money for the end of the cruise..

We did not have to fill out a U S Customs declaration . We just got our luggage and went through customs. I guess it must be something new.

It all depends on which ports you called at....certain ports still require you to fill out the declaration form....they will tell you when, if necessary...

Relatively recent customs change—- you only have to fill out the declaration form if you are over your allowance. On our last trip, we were over, filled out the form, and the agent took it and said thank you, but never looked at it.

Well, it is that time again to get on the open seas and sail away from the everyday. Hope you can join us for 8 days aboard the beautiful Anthem of the Seas sailing from Cape Liberty, NJ to the Bahamas. Plan is to have many pictures and videos and this new fangled technology, Periscope, ( thanks to Bugsy for his great live from the Enchantment last week that turned me on to Periscope).

 

Our plan is to hit Disney while in Port Canaveral, pray to the mighty tender gods that we can tender to Coco Cay, and then the weather gods that we have a nice weather day for Nassau and we can do the water park at Atlantis, or ride out to Baha Mar (?).

 

 

 

I am also praying there are no interruptions to this report like the last two I did, so look for as many updates, pics and Vids ( wifi speed dependent) and some Live Scopes (@Seadog67) when possible.

 

Hope you can join us for the next 8 days starting early tomorrow morning heading up the NJ Turnpike, ( we will see if Philly is still standing after today's Parade, as we head out [emoji4] congrats to the EAGLES

Just off the Anthem and may I recommend the Tutti salad bar for lunch on sea days. In addition to lots of fresh fruits, salads, hot dishes and a sometime pasta & Chinese /Japanese noodle station, they've added a wonderful dessert table to die for. As you enter the Grande (MDR lunch venues, you see many different types of desserts from variety of cakes, mouses, fruits and it includes a chocolate fountain that one can dip strawberries, marshmellows, etc. My favorite was getting a couple of scoops of ice cream and topping it with the syrup from the fountain. When the syrup hit the ice cream it turned solid and reminds me of the Dairy Queen brown top. Loved every sea day.:D
