Noreen411 Posted March 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Hi Are there any specialty restaurants on Allure of the Seas that we shouldn’t miss? We’ve most recently sailed several times on Anthem and have gone to the Specialty Restaurants - Wonderland, Chops, Jamie’s multiple times. We enjoyed them. We found on our last Anthem sailings that we’ve been skipping the Specialty Restaurants and having dinner in Coastal Kitchen almost every night. I am sure we’ll be perfectly happy in Coastal Kitchen on Allure too, but if there is something unique to Allure, I don’t want to miss out. Looking for not just the restaurant you think we shouldn’t miss but if there is a special dish you think we should try, I’d like to hear that too. Let me know your thoughts Thank you Noreen
Clarea Posted March 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Allure is one of two ships that have Samba Grill. You may also want to try Giovanni's Table before they are all gone.

Noreen411 Posted March 2, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Giovanni's. I love the risotto and baked jumbo shrimp. Those sound like dishes I would order. Thank you
Eslader Posted March 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Chef's Table and 150 Central Park are my favorites on Oasis-class. Allure is one of two ships that have Samba Grill. You may also want to try Giovanni's Table before they are all gone. Wait, what!? When did this happen?
Bellalago Breeze Posted March 2, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Allure is one of two ships that have Samba Grill. You may also want to try Giovanni's Table before they are all gone. I totally agree that these are 2 really good ones. Another special place to eat is to have the tapas at Vintages Wine Bar. They give you so much for a very reasonable price. We will be enjoying all 3 places this coming week!

I don't think Giovanni's is going to disappear en masse very soon. However, it's not going on any new ships.
Noreen411 Posted March 4, 2018 Author #9 Share Posted March 4, 2018 Thank you for all the tips. How critical is it to book in advance? Or could we wing it and book onboard? I know some ships the specialties get booked up quickly and others it’s fine to do it as you go Sent from my iPhone using Forums

nelblu Posted March 4, 2018 #15 Share Posted March 4, 2018 Allure is one of two ships that have Samba Grill. You may also want to try Giovanni's Table before they are all gone. What do you mean? Giovanni's is better than Jamie's. Unless they are going to resurrect Portofino.
Ken at the beach Posted March 4, 2018 #16 Share Posted March 4, 2018 What do you mean? Giovanni's is better than Jamie's. Unless they are going to resurrect Portofino. On all the new ships being built they have added Jamie’s instead of Giovannis. Don’t be surprised that at the next round of drydocks if Giovanni’s is replaced by Jamie’s. Eslader Posted March 5, 2018 #17 Share Posted March 5, 2018 Thank you for all the tips. How critical is it to book in advance? If you want to do Chef's Table I would book in advance. At only 14 seats per night it can (but does not always) fill up fast. I have never had an issue booking any of the other restaurants on the ship, even day-of.
