ajp_99 Posted March 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Hello all We are pretty new to cruising and thinking of taking a cruise this coming October from Boston to Bermuda on Royal Caribbean Serenade of the Seas. Was wondering if anyone has taken a cruise to Bermuda in October or even this cruise? Whats the weather like? Do you think its to risky in Hurricane Season? Rare Keith1010 Posted March 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2018 There is always a risk in October of hurricanes but that would not deter us. The weather will be cooler that time of year but to me the plus is you won't have the heat and humidity of July and August and less tourists will be there. biker@sea Posted March 3, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2018 The entire Bermuda season is hurricane season. I feel Bermuda is perfect in October.
SbbquilterUT Posted March 3, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2018 Lovely time of year in Bermuda - one of my favorite places.
leaveitallbehind Posted March 3, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2018 That timeframe is towards the end of the cruise season with Bermuda, but the temperatures still range between about 72-80 degrees f., with rain about a third of the days of the month. As to hurricanes, as mentioned previously, basically the entire Bermuda cruise season is during the hurricane season, so it can't be avoided. But - this past overactive year notwithstanding - hurricane season is not a guarantee of a storm, just the time when conditions are most favorable for one to develop. We've been to Bermuda a number of times on both RCI and Celebrity - with itineraries offering both 2 and 3 days in port - and it is one of our favorite cruise itineraries and ports of call. leaveitallbehind Posted March 7, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 7, 2018 Enjoy your cruise - Bermuda is a wonderful island and as mentioned is one of our favorite places. We had our Honeymoon their, went back on our 5th anniversary, and have cruised their several times since, including our 30th. I'm sure you will love it as well. CPT Trips Posted March 7, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 7, 2018 October is a great time to visit Bermuda. As mentioned up thread, not as hot and humid as summer. And, the water is still warm, more comfortable than May/June.
sail7seas Posted March 7, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 7, 2018 I have been in Bermuda end of Octoberfor a week and was very lucky to have beauiful weather but like any where, no promises. Keep in mind that is still hurricane season and Bermuda is sometimes 'hit'.

Keep in mind that is still hurricane season and Bermuda is sometimes 'hit'. Agreed. But as mentioned previously in the thread, almost the entirety of the Bermuda cruise season is during the hurricane season - can't be avoided unless you book on the very front end before June. :)
