Fyrguy51 Posted March 3, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2018 Looking for some help with a few questions: Are there blow dryers in the cabins? Are the cabins like hotel rooms, are there shampoo, soap, body wash, etc???? For the Main Dining Room, not the formal night, do you need pants or are dress shorts and a polo acceptable? Thanks Jim and Kelly
2nsmom Posted March 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2018 first off...have great time!!!! we love the freedom!! yes there is a hair dryer, but I like mine better :o) I forget if there is shampoo and soap..I just bring my favorite in a travel container There will be great debate about the dress code, but Yes, my husband and son wear dress shorts and polo shirts in the dining room (not on formal night)
Clarea Posted March 3, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2018 Every stateroom has a hair dryer. Every non-suite stateroom (except on Vision) has bars of soap and a dispenser of combo shampoo/conditioner in the shower. No one cares what you wear in the dining room anymore. depplep Posted March 3, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2018 Bob summed it up. Nobody looks at your clothes anymore. Unless you have a specific soap or hair need, you will be fine. Have a great cruise. We just got off Freedom and loved the ship and the crew.
Denise Ann Posted March 3, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2018 I have a question about the Freedom too. Do you have to book shows in advance or just show up. Thanks

Rare bobmacliberty Posted March 4, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 4, 2018 DW prefers her own hair dryer because it's more powerful than the hair dryer in the cabin. Since her hair is now shorter, and to save luggage space, she didn't bother bringing one on our last couple of cruises and has decided the cabin dryer is fine. If you have long hair, the cabin dryer may take a while. The women in my family do not care for the combo stuff in the shower dispenser. We therefore visit a Walgreen's or CVS in the departure city and buy what they need before boarding. Saves from needing to pack the heavy liquids for a flight. Clarea Posted March 4, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 4, 2018 Just to tag on, where is the best place to eat on embarkation day? Windjammer will have the most variety. Cafe Promenade and Sorrento's are probably the least crowded.

Freedom of the Seas has not been using tickets for the ice shows lately, so it is a good idea to get there early if you want good seats.

lovelife Posted March 5, 2018 #15 Share Posted March 5, 2018 Just off Freedom B2B and there were no reservations for the ice show. We went to any performance we chose EARLY.
Rare whitshel Posted March 5, 2018 #16 Share Posted March 5, 2018 And about the hair dryers, my wife takes her own as well because the ones the provide you have to hold the button in for it to work. So it gets tiring on the fingers. Just so you know!
