Is Suite worth it?

I imagine it will to those staying in the non-suite! Kind of an odd question. Explain who is in this "family". Young kids, couples? We often cruise with the kids in a standard inside room and my wife and I in a suite. That works for us. Not really sure about your actual travel situation though, so can't really say.

Also, keep in mind suite amenities are only for those booked in a suite. So those in the non suite will not have access to SL, priority seating etc.

More specifically, those in the non-suite will not have access to the suite-only beaches at Labadee and/or Coco Cay. This means that, unless the party splits up, the people in the suite will have to also forego that perk.

Im pretty sure that I have read on a bunch of threads that if you get a cabana and you are not over capacity you can bring non suite guests with you.

As to whether the suites are worth it: we are not Diamond level (yet, hopefully someday) so for us the extras that you get with a suite are worth it, to a certain price point. If the suites are too expensive then no we don’t feel they are worth it.

I guess it just depends on how much you are willing to pay and what you feel is worth that cost.

I must admit it is hard to go back to a balcony cabin. That concierge escort off the ship on the last morning past all of the lines is ALMOST worth any price. LOL!

that was our experience also. We stayed in a balcony but we were able to enjoy the cabana that our son had.

 

 

 

Thank you for the feedback. We’ve booked 2 bedroom AquaSuite and one GS. And 2 balcony rooms. We were worried kids in balcony rooms would not be able to join us on Coco Cay. To upgrade their room is over $5,000. Trying to justify $.

Just booked Vision that stops in CoCo Cay. Can't wait since I have not been there in a long long time. We are in a suite....what benefits does that have at Coco? I know things are changing there but hoping for the best. Thanks

Wow! On what ships and itineraries have you been traveling?

We have had this perk as suite guests ONCE, and that was an accommodation by the Hotel Director in response to a complaint about another matter.

Last cruise we sat in the specialty restaurant while others in the theater and other areas were called to get off.

Wonderful perk!!

I'm not sure but are both suites Star class? We sailed in star class suite and were able to have family sailing in regular cabins join us in being escorted on/off ship (at stops as well).

I wasn't even aware of suite benefits at coco cay

We have sailed Allure 3 times, twice in a GS. Both times we signed up for a departure time and waited in the SL. When it was time to leave the concierge gathered us all up and escorted us to customs past ALL of the people standing in the lines. Best perk EVER!

Well that depends on a number of variables.

 

How much time will you spend in the room? Will you be able to take advantage of the perks( a picky eater who doesn’t drink will have a much harder time taking getting full value from a star class room then I would)?

 

Would you rather cruise more frequently in a lower rooms category? Is this a once in a lifetime trip?

 

I’ve been fortunate enough to stay in star class and sky class suites...but I’ll enjoy any cruise I’m on...I could cruise in an inside room again.

 

There is no wrong answer.

That first is variable. I meet many people who state they do not spend much time in their room. But if there are in a small inside, why would they?

 

I have managed to do all my cruising in suites, and we spent a reasonable amount of time in the room (including time on the balcony). But there is plenty of room and a great view.

 

So those who don't spend much time in their room, might if they had a nicer room to spend time in.

 

It was funny, we met a couple who were in an Owner's suite, and we hit it off and spend a good bit of time together. We both came to the conclusion, we could understand the cruise cheaper and cruise, more, that we would prefer to cruise less and enjoy the suite life. :D

We really enjoy having a suite but can’t always afford one so “settle” for a balcony😎. Always enjoyed our cruise but prefer the “suite life”.

 

We did about 50 cruises over several decades before discovering suite life after last 8 or so mostly grand suites on rccl will be hard to go back, have our first owner suites later this year on oasis
