kren250 Posted March 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2018 Today I booked a cruise for my Mom and I, for December 2019. I was reviewing the confirmation they emailed me, and my Mom’s age was listed as 1. I accidentally didn’t change the birth year of her birth date when I booked.🤦*♀️ Does this mean the price of the cruise is currently incorrect? Do I need to call the cruise line ASAP tomorrow to correct it, or is it not a big deal as long as I get her age correct for the pre-cruise sign in? I would call them to get it corrected, it might be important (or it might not) but do it to put your mind at ease. I would if it were me.

tombec1 Posted March 16, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2018 I had my sister-in-law's bday wrong when I added her to our room. I called NCL and they fixed it without issues. It's not like the airlines - it was super easy!

If your mother's personal details don't match exactly, you may be denied boarding. A quick call NCL will have it corrected. Make sure you see it corrected online. adam_s_allen Posted March 16, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 16, 2018 Also if you plan on using the UBP as a perk they wouldn't have given it to your Mom with her age listed as 1.
tomberly Posted March 16, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 16, 2018 I put in the wrong year of birth for one of my sons when I first made our reservation, but we didn’t notice it for several months. All I did was call them and they fixed it with no problem.

Yea, but according to some parents here their kids even at 1 are responsible and completely well behaved. Just don't give the one-year olds Tequila. ;p
kren250 Posted March 17, 2018 Author #11 Share Posted March 17, 2018 I called them today; it took about two minutes and was an easy fix :-). They did send me a new confirmation, and her birthdate is correct on it. The cruise price did go up a bit: I had selected to pre-pay gratuities, and for some reason the original confirmation said 0 for my Mom's amount? Do they not charge 1 year olds the grat charge? Thanks for all the replies:-).
Hopes4 Posted March 17, 2018 #12 Share Posted March 17, 2018 Do they not charge 1 year olds the grat charge? Thanks for all the replies:-). No they don't. Daily service charge applies for ages 3 and up.
