OBC. Usage?

Just about anything you can buy onboard. Drinks (alcoholic and non), tours (if booked onboard, not in advance), specialty dining, items in the onboard shops, hotel service charge, spa services.

Just about anything you purchase WHILE ONBOARD, except for in the casino. You can charge casino purchases (chips and slot machine play) and while these are not supposed to use up your OBC (depending on how you got the OBC), sometimes it slips through the cracks.

Once you board, check with Guest Services and see if any of the OBC is refundable. Any credit from the cruise line is rarely, if ever, refundable. Onboard Credit from a Travel Agency MAY be refundable, if not used. There is no need to use up all of the refundable portion unless you have things you want to use it for.
