Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted March 28, 2018 #26 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Will find out tomorrow and let you know. I was more interested in the brand of gin. Love tanguery(sp) which they have.Could not get a piece of lime while in port of San Juan. Garnishment is not allowed till we leave port! I know nothing about G&T myself, but am hoping to try soon and be corrupted [next two trips include Cape Town and London – should be good bars for it there, right?]. Anyway, the consensus on the Azamara thread was: • super-top: Silent Pool gin with Fever-Tree Elderflower tonic • also hard to find: Martin Miller's gin with Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic • more widely available: Tanquery No 10 gin with Fever-Tree Premium Indian tonic • less exotic but easiest to find: Gordon's London Dry gin with Schweppes tonic
stretchcruz Posted March 28, 2018 #27 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Can't swear to it because I didn't drink it but I think the tonic in our minifridge was Schweppes.
Cyber Kat Posted March 28, 2018 #28 Share Posted March 28, 2018 So glad you had a fantastic voyage CyberKat. You mentioned on a different thread that you booked another cruise while on board. I am wondering what the advantages were that you saw in doing so? It depends on the itinerary you select and the cabin class We booked a PV1 room for the Eastern Seaboard Explorer for 2019. We got our $200 pp Explorer Society discount, $400pp for booking onboard, $100 credit for the current cruise, Plus final payment isn’t due until 6 months out. This last is something you can get by asking, but we didn’t have to ask. That’s how he set it up.
Cyber Kat Posted March 28, 2018 #29 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Well CyberKat,I am now sitting the Living Room waiting for the muster drill. I'm just taking it all in... The ship smells good and small touches to explore on ever deck. Got the black leather chair with foot stool, g&t in hand while listening to the guitarist[emoji177] Sent from my iPad using Forums He’s fabulous! His name is Valentino and he’s from Hungary. He was our escort on our catamaran to St John from St Thomas. He often plays in the Explorer’s Lounge as well. Do enjoy every moment! Cyber Kat Posted March 28, 2018 #30 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Speaking of the Living Room - another little detail not to miss: the lichen garden under the grand staircase! Would love to meet the person who’s responsible for the interior design. Wasn’t that fabulous! I just loved all those little touches! Cyber Kat Posted March 28, 2018 #31 Share Posted March 28, 2018 What brand of tonic do they have? There's a big thread on Azamara forum complaining about Royal Club being terrible. I think it was Schweppes. Sent from my iPad using Forums

I look for those sweetened with sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup. Took me the longest time to realize that’s why G&T tasted so much better in Bermuda. Try the Singapore Sling if you are in the mood for something fruity! Sent from my iPad using Forums

Twitchly Posted March 28, 2018 #37 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Fevertree Indian Premium Tonic and Hendricks gin with extra lime. You'll never go back!:D Or Hendricks gin with mix-your-own tonic using Jack Ruby tonic syrup and sparkling water. I love it because I can control the sweetness by using less syrup. Try it with cucumber instead of lime!
Rare Azulann Posted March 29, 2018 #38 Share Posted March 29, 2018 What brand of tonic do they have? There's a big thread on Azamara forum complaining about Royal Club being terrible. I just asked Eleanor’s, the barista at the Aquavit about tonic on board They have Sweppes at all the bars except Torshavn club. There they have two kinds of Fever Tree tonic. At Torshavn they have liquor and mixers that are unique to this bar only[emoji484] Sent from my iPhone using Forums
